Heroic Age

I'm loving that new Thunderbolts roster! I've always wanted Juggy as a Thunderbolt & Cage will make the team heroic again.

In the "Heroic Age" how the hell does the man who freakin shot Captain America in the throat get a 2nd chance? And since when is Man-Thing a bonafide villain? Moonstone and Juggy are perfect fits though. Hope the extend the roster to some other folks like Constrictor...maybe even Curt Conners.

I thought Manthing was defender of the nexus of all realities. I am glad they are using him but I'd like to see the excuse they use to get him out of the everglades.

Good point about Crossbones just cause he kinda resembles Bane doesn't mean he belongs on Marvel's Secret Six. I think he's just there to throw in some racial tension which can be interesting, but honestly I'd like to see Cage beat the s*** out of him on a regular basis.

Presumably, we'll learn the answers to at least some of those questions when the series actually starts.

Nah man I know all the secrets I kidnapped Jeff Parker and told Marvel if they want him back they better give Agents of Atlas their ongoing back and it worked and then we discussed his plans for 2010 in the Marvel U. The mans got some major stockholm syndrome now, but it was worth it

Well, didn't the Dark Avengers arrest Man-Thing or something? Maybe since they couldn't kill him, they locked him up & deemed him a villain. Cage sees him, knows he's a good guy & decides to put him on the team.

I don't know, I'm excited that Man-Thing's doing something cool!... Turning Punisher into Frankencastle doesn't count as cool.

Didn't Ares cut him in half? I doubt he should be on the team. It doesn't fit the whole "redeeming angle". It seems that this 1st roster will probably change dramatically within the 1st arc. I'm guessing Crossbones gets the crap kicked out of him in the 1st few pages. The team is seriously lacking some personality. MA has Cho and Herc, NA has Spidey and Clint, DA has Bullseye. Man Thing doesn't speak, so

MA, NA, and DA are all going to be gone when this new Thunderbolts start up. Moonstone, Juggernaut, and Cage all have pretty loud personalities.

I'm inclined to believe that's a miscoloration rather than Steve taking over Bucky's costume for some reason. I don't particularly like Bucky's costume and I definitely don't think it suits Steve.
Ya know I have to agree BUT cap's face looks more like Steve's over Bucky's even with a miscoloration.
I questioned that when I first saw the ad. I now have the hand out poster from my LCS and I think that is Steve in Bucky's outfit but I don't think that's Bucky in Hawkeye's outfit.
I CAN see Bucky taking over Clint's place as Ronin tho.

Well either way I'm curious if Bucky's going to return to his old costume or what?
Not that either is a step down.

I'd rather not see them all revert back. Clint, I'd like to revert back to Hawkeye, and get out of the god awful persona Bendis has given him as Ronin. I'm enjoying all the growth Buck is experiencing as Cap, and would hate to see him go back to Winter Soldier. Because then other writers will sorta forget he's grown up, and treat him as he was.

I think Marvel's gonna keep Bucky in the Cap costume at least until the Cap movie comes out. Although i hope we get at least 2 more full years with Bucky Cap, im really enjoying him in that role.

I agree, I liked Winter Soldier but Buck has changed alot and he should be his own man so to speak.
Going back to Bucky would be WAY out of hand, and having another "US Agent" would be even worse. Heh I loved the scene's where Peter would be dealing out wisecracks and Buck would straighten him out. :D

I'm pretty sure Man-Thing can heal.

yup Manny is a bunch of muck that oozes back together. makes me wonder why none of the monsters are being used in any of this.

They're currently being used in the Frankencastle story in Punisher.

Yes it does!!!:argh:

Bendis assembles his Avengers!

- The Hawkeye costume we've seen in the teaser is *not* the final costume: "It's going to have a different look and tone to it." - Bendis
-
Full team roster will be revealed in May.
- Luke Cage will appear in the Avengers, even tho he will lead the Thunderbolts. This does not mean Luke is an Avenger tho!
- We'll find out what happens to Maria Hill and some of the Dark Avengers.

I'm not really excited about this book as I first thought I would be. I really don't care for the New Avengers lineup basically carrying over into the new book. The big thing for me was the return of the big three, Thor, IM, and Cap. Nothing against BuckyCap, but that's not the real big three without Steve. Not too keen on Cage either.

Some things I am looking forward to:

1. JRJR's art
2. Kang returning, giving the Avengers a "real" threat.
3. Maria Hill (sounds like she's gonna live through SIEGE)
4. And Bendis' promise of not dragging things out. That really bothered me at the start of NA when Ronin was on the cover of NA#1 and (s)he didn't appear until #11, almost a year into the book.

I'm probably gonna be more into Brubaker's Secret Avengers.

I hope Bendis keeps Infinite Avengers Mansion. That's a badass HQ.
He won't though. He'll have them decked out in some place stupid, most likely. The only time he had a really cool hideout for them was when they were shacked up in the Sanctum Sanctorum.
