Heterosexual men should be circumcised - AP

Yup, sexy words... I'm actually serious.:csad:

'Zat right? That's interesting.
I'm trying to decide if I want my boys to be circumsized for health reasons. Your posts makes me think, well, maybe I should let them decide this for themselves.
If I were to have kids, I'd let them choose when their at that age when they notice their... things.

A 60% decrease eh? So... that's 0.2% risk instead of 0.5% risk (or something equally silly). Sounds totally
not
worth it.
Depends on where you live.
In some African states, information like this may lead to male circumcision becoming law.

this articl sucks. you're going to get HIV period. and AndThepickles still have'nt answeed catman's hypothetical question.

i've heard it isn't as nice when being circumcised, because it takes away some of the sensitivity in that area, i'm uncircumcised, and really really wouldn't get it now, or ever wish it on someone i like, it's....wrong, but still it's a horrible horrible thing when in some african (i think) countries, women cut off their clit (and, yes, it is wrong) but this is the male equivalent, wtf :(

Yeah...two weeks of ice packs and bandages (and no boners)...no thank you.

Plus it costs over 300 dollars.

There are absolutely no good health reasons for getting your kids circumcised. The AIDS thing is interesting, but do you expect your boys to be sleeping around without condoms?

It'd feel weird to be circumcised. I'm so used to my foreskin that if I was bare, I wouldn't be able to stand the irritation of the rubbing against the boxers. :(

i would never want to be circumsized...nor would i ever put my child(ren) through it. the HIV thing is interesting, and good food for thought..but at the end of the day, i still feel the same.

You hate me, don't ya? :cmad:

So, lets say that instead of meeting Spoons in your college you met me. We hit it off from the getgo and I asked you out. Then, we go on a date and have a wonderful time. Afterwards or another time we go back to my place and it gets all hot and heavy. So, you're telling me you'll just get up and leave?! Thats cold, Pickle! :csad:

Well, I don't move that fast, but if I did have sex after a first date- I wouldn't really have a strong emotional connection with you, so all I'd really be thinking about is the physical aspect of things. I can't imagine just getting up and LEAVING because that would be super rude! I do think it would be quite a turn off though...I'm really not sure how I'd respond because nothing like that has ever happened to me! lol

If we had been dating for quite a while and I had a strong connection with you emotionally, things would be different. That'd be pretty shallow to not date someone who you've already become crazy about emotionally just over a FORESKIN.

don't read all of that medical jargon Erz is spouting!!!
just know the cooties get stuck in the crevacies and are harder to scrub out.
see!!
here's a diagram to make the whole thing more elementary my dear Watson.

=hard to scrub

Seacrest Out

Hahahaha

Out of interest... how do you feel about plastic surgery? Would you demand that a man mutilate his own nose just to please your tastes?

I would never call circumsision "mutilation." And it's not like I'm asking a man to get circumsized for ME...there are plenty of guys out there who already are. It's a personal preference.

I'm not on the computer 24/7 gentlemen, particularly not on the weekends!! :cmad:

Surely cutting up a penis doesn't count as mutilation, what does?

Ok, well I guess I can see why you would call it that, so let's dissect the specific definition lol:

1.to injure, disfigure, or make imperfect by removing or irreparably damaging parts.
2.to deprive (a person or animal) of a limb or other essential part.
Do you think that removing the foreskin is really DISFIGURING the penis?

I also don't consider the foreskin to be an essential part. But, I have a feeling that you probably think the opposite of me! heh

Think of it this way.

If your daughter had an irregular sized clitoris, would you have the doctor lop it off? Keeping in mind that parents HAVE had doctors chop off their daughters' clitoris because the thing was an irregular size. Sure, the clit serves no real purpose other than sexual pleasure. Chop it off for the sake of looks.

It's the same thing with foreskin. Serves no real purpose - but chopping it off serves absolutely no real purpose either, other than aesthetic. Is it really worth it?

This is a subject I feel fairly strong about.

What about people who believe that a child should be circumsized for religious reasons? That is still really common.

Does this make you feel insecure or something? You said it most European women would prefer an uncircumcised man? Why does it honestly bother you this much what mostly Americans do?

Religious reasons is fine. But most of the time, parents do it for social acceptance, aesthetic reasons, and bull**** health myths. It's not very fair on the child to force that on them.

It's a topic of interest to me. Plastic surgery also bothers me to a certain extent. And American culture fascinates me both in positive and negative ways.

A little too much interest if you ask me.

Why? That's something thats kinda odd about you, Erz. A guy can't have an opinion without having an issue of insecurity on the subject?

How about the fact that I'm glad my parents "forced" it on me?

Yeah, that's another thing kaine- What about the males who wish they had been circumsized as a child? They could argue that it wasn't fair that their parents didn't just get it over with when they were too young to remember feeling it.
