High School=hell

Wait until you're a junior and have all the pressure of getting into a good college, then you can complain about high school.

Well I swear, in my school theres only 3 black people...i'm not even kidding.

99.9 percent of my High School is Portugeese.

we have no other races in our school but caucasian. kind of sad actually.

We have like 4 black kids, about 10 Mexicans, and then about 980 white kids.

I'm half spain spanish, 1/4 irish and 1/4 British so yeah, i'm the only non black or non black porkchop at our school...I feel...lonely.

^ sorry for that.

My year is going good aside from the whole...doing work that requires me walking from one room to a completely new room to do something that takes 40 min....yea there's a class like that it's called PHOTOGRAPHY.

Ha ha, if you're complianing about high school now, wait till you go to college.

I always find this thread title odd to me. I loved high school. I hated school up until high school really. I didn't really become popular until the 8th grade (last year of middle school). Every day since school has started I've wished that I could go back to high school. I'd love to re-live every second of it.

I miss being able to get good grades without doing anything. And having the teachers give you all the material. I hate having to buy books and printing out worksheets on my own.

Well, It's been over a month since I posted in this thread and I promised to bump it. Anyway, all I have to say is this year is much worse than last year.

What kind of problems are you having? What are you doing to change things from this year to last year?

Not going to lie, high school's hell. I lived through it and thank god I'm out. I had little to no friends in high school. The only friends I did have I made before high school. Never had a girl friend in high school either. I was really shy. I was a loner and to make it worse I was shoved around and beaten down. Felt like I would never fit in anywhere and that my life would be limited to staying home a lot and going out only from time to time...

But, here's the good news. That's high school. Once you get out of there, everything will change. I can guarantee it, just need to be open and ready for it. Read through this thread and you kinda remind me of when I was going through the same experiences. College has been a lot better and I mean exponentially better. I've made friends, I'm somewhat involved and hell dude I even got invited to a HOUSE PARTY.

What I'm trying to say is, yeah high school's tough. But, you make it though I can guarantee you that things will get leagues better. Keep swinging spidey, the radioactive spider bites once you graduate.

What an odd first post.

Personally, I think HS got better as it went along. Hopefully it will be the same for you. IMO, it helps to keep a low profile. An air of boredom helps, too.

I actually think middle school was worse than high school just because I went to private school, and when you're an awkward and unathletic scholarship nerd surrounded by a bunch of rich little blondes and jocks, it's hell. But in high school I learned to come out of my shell, embrace my geekiness, stop gossiping (which was easy because I have so many people in my school that I hardly know anyone), and ignore the stupid people, and I was so much happier! I know it's way easier said than done, but you'll be so much better off if you learn not to care what those immature idiots (AKA 90% of high school students) think of you. And if that doesn't work, just focus on your school work rather than your social life because even though it seems to be lasting forever right now, it'll be over before you know it. The only thing that really gets me about high school now is having to wake up at 5:30 every morning and working my butt off because I'm an overachiever and do a bunch of clubs and APs and such. Oh, and gym class. Ugh.

I would just be nice to people but dont go out of your way to be nice. If they ask you for help with something, help them. Then forget it ever happened. If someone gives you trouble, have a sarcastic comeback ready. Be Spidey as he faces a P.O.ed bad guy. (Yes, I just said that.)

Example: When I was a freshmen in the stone age, a guy said to me "Nice glasses. You're a full fledged ******." I looked at him and said "Yeah? That ear ring makes you look real manly, too." Or just curse em out. That works too.

As my psychologist always said "If someone sticks their finger in your face, bite it off."
