About alot of things? Basically, I'm very nervous about things right now, but once it's over, I can finally be happy again. I'm only going on 15 years old, but I'm really a nervous person. Anybody have any solutions? Basically, it's about going back to school, but sometimes, I get nervous aobut other things. I am happy about a good amount of things right such as ALL Spider-Man stuff, but besides Spidey, I'm pretty nervous. :csad:

I often have a sense of impending dread for about 24 hours after a drug/alcohol fuelled bender. But I can deal with it as I know it's not real.

If I were you, at 15 years of age, I'd try & concentrate on the bigger picture, and think about how many actual real worries you have in your life.

^^ You're defenitely right, but theo nly thing is, I have an anxiety disorder. Not sever or anything, but I have more anxiety than a normal person. Mym other has and always will say it's always worse my mind than it actually will be. She's laways been right. :yay:

Yeh, first off, never tell her that she's always right lol ;)

Err, not sure what to say about this mate - it'd be easy to say 'Just don't worry', but if this is an actual disorder then that's not much use (may as well be telling a terminally ill person to 'just not die'). I take it you've consulted your GP about this? I suffered from anxiety attacks for about a year after my father died and was given beta-blockers. Now these are usually given to people who've had a heart attack to reduce blood pressure and other things, but they also control adrenalin in your system - which was what was wrong with me. I ended up not even taking them though and faced my problems and beat them by natuaral means. You should always try and find a natural way to deal with things, rather than relying on prescription drugs that usually only keep things at bay rather than actually curing your illness.

Do you get plenty of exercise? If all else fails, blame Spider-Man 3 :D

^^ Well alot of poeple have it, but some people don't. I do take prescriptions, but iH ave battled my anxiety before, lol. :yay::woot:

The only solution is to get over it, by yourself. There are no magic fixes, though the meds can help keep things manageable while you work on it.

Some of it may be your age, as well. Mine was worst from 12-18-ish.

First time I drove in Atlanta alone. But now it's no big thing.

From my experience anxiety is linked to insecurity. In my first year of Uni, I had real bad anxiety. I was too nervous to go to tutorials, too nervous to talk to people and make friends. It really ruined my experience of college in 1st year. I didn't have belief in myself due to my phsyical appearance. I lost a couple of stone and things became easier and more comfortable. I suggest that you be honest with yourself and ask yourself "why am I a nervous wreck". It's the 1st step.

Turn 21 and drink!:woot:

You just have to realize you cannot control everything and nothing is ever perfect and no one is perfect.

I am really nervous when it comes to just about everything and I am really shy. I feel your pain but I just try to relax and think to myself everything's going to be all right and it works 99% of the time.

I've always had very bad anxiety. I'd get nervous before going to school.

I did, a few years ago. It got so bad I had to see a doctor about it. He gave me some meds, which helped things. Occasionally, I'll have minor anxiety attacks, but they have been nowhere near as bad as what I went through a few years back. Maybe you should see a doctor?

How do you solve it?

To be honest, I don't. I spend the whole day worrying, get home, then worry about the next day,. But, I do take pills for it so, yes. I solve anxiety with medication :o

im 18 now and i still worry bout stuff. im the kinda person that worries about stuff i cant really do anythin about. its wen things r out of ur control that u shouldnt really worry but i cant help it. sometimes i can feel really depressed about things coz im worryin, but 5 mins laters i feel fine again and im then laid back. i think every1 has there own way of dealin wiv anxiety. its just up 2 u 2 come 2 some sort of resolution with urself

try breathing exercises. they work sometimes

Being nervous about school, and just life in general is pretty normal. It took me years to finally take this to heart, but you have to accept what you can not change. Stressing out and getting upset never solved anything, so whats the point. Perhaps find something that will help you relax, like meditation, exercise, or even reading. If you tired all that and you feel the anxiety is overwhelming I would suggest talking to your parents. Yes there is medication for anxiety, usually strong tranquilizers. It helps a lot of people, but its highly addictive and becoming addicted is almost a given. They might not even prescribe such pills for someone your age.

I had bad anxiety during 16 - 20 years old. It was bad because I developed the fear of being anxious and would dwell on it and avoid social situations. I'd get embarrassed around people just talking to them and was super shy, even though I wasn't like that as a kid. After a year in college I got over it, I think just because I told my friend, we started going out and having fun. I got used to being around people. 23 now and its gone. The real key I think is I just didn't care anymore, I stopped thinking about it. I was like, screw it, I don't care anymore...I've got things to do that are important.

I think it may have been linked to the allergy medication I was taking at the time, btw. When I stopped taking the medication, it seemed to go away.

you gotta picture everyone naked.

I used to be very nervous. I couldnt even look people in the eyes. While giving a presentation in a college class, I had to hold on to the podium to steady myself. People probably thought I was going to faint. I started taking prescription medications that summer and it has helped me greatly. I'm not saying you should do that, because you are still young. Medications tend not to mix well with teenagers. Your chemicals and hormones are a mess as they are. :oldrazz:

Theater classes fixed me up good. I think you should take some.
