Highlander: Revenge

Wrote and posted this over on a highlander board I post on last month. Here's Part 1 of 5.

FADE IN:

EXT. APARTMENT -- ROOF -- DAY

Sub: Year - 2007.

KENNETH KELL, 25, IMMORTAL, bald, 5'9, stands on the apartment roof in a trenchcoat and jeans. He stares in the distance, then closes his eyes.

EXT. ENGLISH VILLAGE -- MORNING (FLASHBACK)

Sub: Year - 1624

A few dozen houses and buildings stand around each other.

EXT. KELL'S HOUSE -- MORNING

A YOUNG BOY throws a rotten tomato at the front door. It splats on impact.

INT. KELL'S HOUSE -- MAIN ROOM -- CONTINUOUS

Kenneth Kell stands next to TAMMY, early 20's.

KELL
We need to leave here soon.

TAMMY
It will stop.

KELL
They think you're a witch! They will burn you if we don't run away from here!

TAMMY
Hasn't happened, yet.

KELL
But it will!

TAMMY
The village thinks I'm a witch for a while now. If they were going to burn me, why haven't they done it by now?

KELL
Don't know. Maybe the village council hasn't reached a decision? In any case, it's best we run from here while we can.

TAMMY
We do that and it might give them the idea I AM a witch.

KELL
I can't protect you from them all.

Beat

TAMMY
I know.

EXT. KELL'S HOUSE -- FRONT DOOR

A boot kicks the handle of the door.

INT. KELL'S HOUSE -- MAIN ROOM -- CONTINUOUS

The front door swings open!

OLIVER WILLIAMS, 44, IMMORTAL, steps through the door.

KELL
If it's just only one person, then I can protect you.

WILLIAMS
I'm Oliver Williams and I'm here to kill the witch!

KELL
Kenneth Kell, never heard of you, and she's not a witch.

WILLIAMS
Arrived here earlier in the day and heard about the witch. Offered to kill her for a price.

KELL
Well, you're not getting the money, but will get a sword in your heart.

Oliver draws his sword from underneath his jacket.

WILLIAMS
Hard to back that up without a sword in your hand.

Kenneth eyes a small table to the left, a sword lays on it. He dashes towards it and grabs it.

KELL
Got one now.

Oliver charges and swings his sword at Kenneth's chest, but it meets blade. He swings it again, this time at his head, but Kenneth ducks the blow.

Kenneth blocks another blow to the chest with his sword, but Oliver pushes him backwards past Tammy.

INT. KELL'S HOUSE -- KITCHEN -- CONTINUOUS

Oliver shoves Kenneth into the kitchen, spins around and stabs Tammy in the stomach!

KELL
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

WILLIAMS
You be seeing him soon enough.

She spits blood onto his face.

He drives the sword upward into her, then pulls it out and lets her fall to the floor.
