It's called Kambhakt Ishq which loosely translates to Stubborn Love...

You gotta be f**kin' kidding me.

It must be some sort of April Fools joke by the international film industry. It's the only logical, sensible explanation to this absurdity.

Hindi movies are TERRIBLE, without exception, so this must be purely money related

can u believe the end of the trailer with Sly... I can't believe regardless of pay he'd go so low...

this is really really bad

Whats wrong with Sly doing a few scenes for a big payday???

Its not as though anyone in the US is going to watch this movie anyway.

Hindi movies might be cheesy, but their catered for a specific audience.
And if they want to throw money at Sly, then by all means Sly should go for it.

I bet Sly got paid a big sum for doing maybe few days work. And since most of this movie is apparently shot in Hollywood, I guess he didn't even have to travel that far either.

Its good business sense by Sly. Its not going to harm his reputation internationally. If anything, a small cameo is likely to increase his exposure again internationally even more, especially since his box office draw had sunk badly in the early 2000's. Since 2006 he has become more popular again, and gaining some more fans in India is a good move. More money, means more movies for Sly!

Thus, when The Expendables comes out, expect more international viewers to come out and watch that movie.

And anyway, Sly is past the point where he needs to please everyone.
He is doing what HE wants, and thats a good thing.
A big payday for a cameo is good business I say.

Being from India, I apologize for this... the ******ed public here is equally responsible...
The Indian Film Industry is like one big 20th CENTURY FOX studio run only by Tom Rothman clones...

wait... Routh? BRANDON ROUTH??? OMFG!!
Why Superman?! Why????

Because the best movie he can get state side is a Dylan Dog adaptation and he probably really needs the check.

this still doesnt explain why they are paying him a lot of money.

The movie must be so bad that they decided to get an American film star so that the hicks (people in rural India) have something to gawk at

Hindi films are made for them after...

wow. Stallone, Routh, and Richards must be hard up for cash if they're in this. I kind of feel bad for Routh. Superman Returns was supposed to be his big break. He would be an action star right now if SR wasn't so damn awful. :csad:

why do you feel bad for routh?
its a normal bollywood movie. he is getting payed a lot of money because they think that he is a star here.

because routh could have been starring in his own films by now had SR did better in story and box office. Plus, I don't blame him for the quality of SR. He did his best with what he was given.

I wouldn't mind if this was a genuinely good film and not trying to sell it self on the prospect of Hollywood stars

For those who know imagine what "Taare Zameen Par" (Stars on Earth) with someone Tom Hanks... Look the movie up... it's very good and critically acclaimed...

But this is bull... and is probably the reason why the Indian Film Industry will never be taken seriously...

Indian directors wish they would have made Slumdog Millionaire...
But no.. they are happy with just getting fat pay checks...

i just found it hilarious when Sly is acting all gangsta with the hoody going Kambakht... EEESSSHHKKKKK flips the hoody lol

The sad part is that Sly probably thinks Bollywood is very cute and stuff while the truth is much more sinister...

On the flipside... the upcoming Mira Nair's "SHANTARAM" starring Johnny Depp features Amitabh Bacchan (I think.. not sure) who is a decent actor so people would actually get to see his acting chops there rather than in most Bollywood films where he is simply a crowd puller

the indian directors would have messed up Slumdog Millionaire by adding four or five dance numbers in the movie. It would probably be appreciated much more by indians in india but wouldn't have gotten international acclaim it got because of boyle.

Bollywood movies look like they'd be a lot of fun to act in.

Do tell. I'm always ready for a little gossip.

True. It started last february, when Memoirs of a Slumdog won the Oscar.

wow this looks really cheesy...but whatever...bollywood movies are getting alot of money to have actors in them from hollywood.

IMO Mira Nair is one of the very few indian directors who knows how to make movies. My fav. movie of her still is The Namesake ( 'cause i can identify with that movie on many fronts). There is a scene in that movie where the wife ( tabu) finds out that her husband has died. A traditional bollywood movie would go for a typical indian response which is crying so hard that you can hear them in space, the usual melodramatic crap. Instead the scene has her act in a real human way where you could truly understand her grief. (y)
