Sounds about right.its been 6 years. they are about the lose the rights. so they hired very fast a cheap writter, cheap director and the cheapest actor from a big franchise. right now Fast Furious. voila.
Paul Walker is a fine enough actor, I enojyed his acting in that one direct to video he did...uh...The Lazarus Project.
Oh yea, and remember, Fox wants $$$. Sean Bean = no $$$. Nothing but a thud opening in 8th place and 3 million dollars. lol.
"Fast and Furious 7" wasn't the only film that Paul Walker had lined up when he was tragically killed in November. The star was also set to top line the "Hitman" reboot "Agent 47" for 20th Century Fox.
Now, the studio may have found a replacement in "Homeland" star Rupert Friend who's in talks to step into the role, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"Agent 47" is based on the popular videogame series from IO Interactive. "Hitman" was previously made into a film in 2007, with "Justified's" Timothy Olyphant in the lead role.
Aleksander Bach is directing the new film, with a script by Kyle Ward, Skip Woods and Michael Finch.
Walker was set to shoot "Agent 47" after wrapping "Fast 7," which is now on schedule to be released in 2015 with existing footage of Walker intact.
Friend has previously been seen on the big screen in films like "Young Victoria" and "Day One." He'll soon be seen opposite Matt Damon and Christoph Waltz in "Zero Theorem."
Zachary Quinto, who stars as Spock in Star Trek reboots (Star Trek Into Darkness), will be joining Rupert Friend in Fox International’s Hitman sequel, Agent 47. Quinto will be joining the project straight from the New York stage where he is co-starring to critical raves in The Glass Menagerie. Agent 47 is the project that previously was cast with Paul Walker in the lead. After the actor died tragically in a car crash, the project was postponed from its initial February start date and then recast. Friend (best known for Homeland) came aboard to replace Walker earlier this month. It will be directed by Aleksander Bach from a script by Skip Woods and Michael Finch. The project will now go before the cameras in March. Chuck Gordon, Alex Young and Adrian Askarieh are producing. Daniel Alter is the exec producer.
