Hitman 2

This is going to be a drunkmax for me for sure. Looks ****ing hilariously bad. Poor 47. Can't wait for the next game though.

Did they steal the "You're locked in here with me" bit from Watchmen? :funny:

Anyway, looks better than I expected. The action looks decent, despite shoddy CGI. I thought the part where the agents or whatever were shooting cables at the car and then sliding down as 47 was shot at them looked cool. Plus, Zachary Quinto .

I hate it when movies just casually steal lines like that.

It's like "I was born ready" originated from 'Big Trouble in Little China' and so many movies have copied and paste that ONE line.

I just noticed that the cop loads the gun while in the interrogation room. Trying to intimidate 47, I guess.

Looks bad, may be very entertaining for how dumb it seems. Considering the games, i always thought a film adaptation would be a bit more restrained when it comes to the action, by having Agent 47 silently killing the people on his list, instead of just going berserk and killing everyone in sight.

the man is a mass murdering fool, from what i've seen from the trailer.

In the games i played with him, what made the missions the most interesting was that you usualy had a few targets, around 2 or more, and you had various ways to take them out without pulling a gun and having your presence get the enemies attention, but if you decided to go berserk and kill everyone, you could pass some of the missions, but would get a terrible score. I guess making a film with an assassin that has to rely on his wits is more difficult to write than one where the assassin is unstopable.

I liked the trailer. I think the movie could be good. It definitely had some elements of Hitman with a more action focus. It also seems to have a big budget which I thought was surprising since this comes after a previous attempt at adapting Hitman which was pretty mediocre.

Looks dumb.

Now trying to imagine Walker in the role, which I totally forgot was going to happen.

The problem is that these Hitman movies are more like Hitman parodies.

Everything is so overblown and Matrix-y, thus raping the earthy, eerie, purgatorial tone of the games.

These movies are the Hitman equivalent of Schumacher's Batman. Only worse.

If Walker was actually still here and had taken this role, head shaved and all, I would've been like, opening night. Just because it woulda been such a wild turn for him.

I feel bad for Rupert Friend. He's actually a good actor but after this, he might have trouble finding good movie roles. Dude might have actually made a good Batman though.

It was written by Skip Woods so that explains a lot. The SAME dude who wrote the first movie, and DIE HARD 5. If there is an explanation, it will be preposterous.

the movie's not going to be good; not even so bad that it's good because most likely it'll be boring. I've been around the block for long enough to have this sort of intuition. Most... of the time I'm right.

Well it at least explains this train wreck.

Agent 47 is coming back for a sequel to 2007's HITMAN!

IESB has confirmed that 20th Century Fox has hired writer Kyle Ward to pen the script for the sequel to Hitman!

The original Hitman movie was a bona fide hit released in 2007 with an estimated gross of 100 million dollars in worldwide box office receipts not including DVD sales and television broadcast rights. The film starred Timothy Olyphant as Agent 47 and launched Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace) to stardom.

Adrian Askarieh, Daniel Alter and Chuck Gordon will return as producers.

Ward is one of Hollywood's hottest, young writers. He wrote Kane and Lynch currently set up over at Lionsgate starring Bruce Willis with a potential start date of later this year. He also penned Fiasco Heights for Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes over at Universal.

In addition to the movie, the Hitman video games (Volumes 1-4) have sold millions upon millions of copies worldwide. We are told to expect Hitman 5 by the end of 2010 and that it will take Agent 47 in a whole new direction.

Kyle Ward is repped at CAA.

Oh. When I read the title of the thread, I was hoping it was a sequel to the Chuck Norris movie from the 1980's.

I probably won't watch this in theaters but I will see it once it hits the small screen.
