Hook.

Dear Pickles,

Netflix shipped Hook to me today. Thank you for reminding me of this film, and that I hadn't seen it in awhile. :)

Yay!

Also, thinking of Peter Pan...has anyone seen the 2003 live action movie Peter Pan? I'm ashamed to say that I haven't...it looks wonderful. I'm tempted to just buy it and watch it since I'm such a Peter Pan fan, but is it worth it?

It's kind of uneven. I used to love it as a kid. Now, it's a guilty pleasure. Still has some great moments.

It's not bad. I watched it in theaters. They did a good job with the Fantasy aspects. Have you watched "Finding Neverland". I love it. I just bought it a couple of weeks ago. It made my Girlfriend cry, I even got teary watching it.

I really liked that new adaptation. But I also LOVE Jason Isaacs so... haha. I would recommend it though, Isaacs aside :cwink:

And as for Hook, I remember being HORRIFIED by that scene where they put the guy in the trunk with the scorpions when I was little haha. I also thought the food fight was disgusting. It looks liked a bunch of that nickelodeon goo haha.

Finding Neverland was a great, great movie

I really think that Hook may not be Speilberg's best film, but it was the last of his 'golden' days of the Amblin era, the last being Jurassic Park. And ever since then, he changed his style and cinematographer (In whom I hate and did a terrible job with Indy 4)

Hook: All the pieces of my life have come together..an epiphany.
Smee: An epiffy-what?
Hook: My life is over.

I love that scene, followed by

Hook: No stopping me this time, Smee. This is it. Don't make a move Smee, not a step. My finger's on the trigger. Don't try to stop me, Smee.
Smee: Oh, not again.
Hook: This is it. [Hook puts the gun to his head] Don't try to stop me this time, Smee. Don't try to stop me this time, Smee. Don't you dare try to stop me this time... Smee, try to stop me.
[pause]
Hook: Smee, you'd better get up off your ass. Get over here, Smee!
Smee: I'm coming. I'm coming.
Hook: Stop me! This is not a joke! I'm committing suicide!!!
[Smee makes the gun go off which shoots the toy ship in the pool]
Hook: Don't ever frighten me like that again.

Love this movie, loved it as a kid and love it now after all these years. Pretty much, the movie is one of the three movies which I consider to be Robin Williams' best.

That pirate's actually Glenn Close, my dad told me a about that a while ago, it surprised the heck out of me, but I can kind of see it now.
