Not really my kind of film but i know it was fairly popular here and this is a very brief early look

I abhor Eli Roth and the first film was terrible.

The teaser was pretty cool though. Of course the fact that it doesn't really show anything from the film itself is probably a factor there.

One question about a sequel.

Why? :down

Any questions???

Oh yeah, and some people liked it, including me, so I am all ready for the sequel.

Yeah, and remember it came out in Jan. which is very successful for a R rated film.

It was a cheap movie, and broke its budget (way over, actually). It earned a sequel.

It caught me by surprise to see the teaser w/ Saw 3... which was an amazing movie.

Hostel was awesome. how can anyone hate gore and boobs?

Granted I've seen 10x more violent crap than Hostel, I still thought it was a fun movie. I saw it as a good thriller, not as a horror movie. And the eye ball scene was great.

This news is making me hostile.

Get it? Hostel. Hostile. They rhyme.

A good thriller is only good if you care about the characters. I couldn't give two ****s if any of the immature frat *******s lived or died.

i think the reason i liked hostel so much was because it reminded me of old movies back in the day where someone actually lives the horror then gets revenge....god the revenge part was the best.

I enjoy that as well...but I still didn't like the film.

if the director had made any attempt for me to care about the characters, the revenge part would be awesome, but sadly, i didn't give a rat's ass about Jay or his buddy..or the other people
