Hostel writer-director Eli Roth tells MTV that he's writing the sequel for three girls, something that producer Quentin Tarantino suggested. "They're studying in Italy for the summer, and they get lured, and they go back to ... well, we're going to go back to a lot of familiar places," Roth said.

Through the existence of this Italian hostel, Roth plans to reveal that the Slovakian stopover from the first
film is actually part of a chain.

"It's all part of the organization; they've got the whole thing set up all over the place, and they have different scouts," Roth added. "We're going to learn a lot more about how it all works. In 'Hostel 2,' you're really going to see the ins and outs of the whole organization and how they get people and kill them."

Roth said that Jay Hernandez's character Paxton is part of the script and he'll be encountering the three girls in Italy.

"Jay has a few less fingers, so it might be difficult for him to blend in," the
director said. "But yeah, he's not out of the woods yet."

Roth's script begins the moment the original Hostel left off. "'Hostel 2' is going to start literally with the next cut, and you're going to see [Paxton] at the same time. You'll see that he's totally messed-up from the experience. It's completely wrecked him, and his life is in ruins."

Roth hopes to begin shooting in August and to release the film in January, 2007.

I liked the first one so this should be interesting to see.

I hated Hostel. It was predictable to me and went nowhere. I didn't care if the characters lived or died. It wasn't even clever which I could have dealt with.

I hope they make the sequel much better than the first one.

I thought they were going to focus on Jay Hernandez freaking out after his encounter. I'd rather see a taxi driver meets hostel type horror (psycology and gore)

Hostel is the worst film of the year thus far, looks like the sequel is lined up to be the worst next year.

Roth is to bad horror these days what Zombie and Aja are to good horror.

hostel missed alot of oppurtunities in the gore/torture department, but i still think it was a good movie for what it was. it was funny and had alot of gratuitous nudity. i didn't like the characters as people, but i don't think we were supposed to.

I can't believe more people don't love the terrifying gang of little kids.
That was one of the best things I've ever seen in a movie.
Again, because roving gangs of orphans in war-torn lands who'll kill for bubble gum are a phenomenon that's based on fact.

I'll be seeing this one, the first one was f**king hilarious!

My ass will be in the theater when this comes out. Love the first one.

Oh boy, another one of your run-of-the-mill "Been there, done that." horror movie sequels. When will these dumb producers ever learn?

i liked the first...hoped it wouldn't get a sequel though, cause it didn't need one...i'll check it out, but not in theatres.

If Timstuff and thedeadite screwed eachother, they'd have a baby that would be half-right about "Hostel".

rotfl!!!... i thought the thread title said hocus pocus 2!

now im sad :(

hmm, i was kinda hoping they would focus on what happened to paxton once he made it back to the states and if everyone found out about the chains or whatever. guess he doesnt make it back that easy though :o

I cant wait for this, I loved the first one, and I love everything by Eli Roth so far, and this sounds great too.

I liked Hostel. But I don't see the need for a second installment. Whatever political message, if there were any political messages at all in the film, have been put out there.

Hostel 2 will be nothing but gratitious nudity, torture, and blood without even the semblance that there's more to it than that.

I bet the story will probably be exactly the same, except with maybe a little bi-action thrown in.

Essentially, a waste of film. Why doesn't Roth move on to something else. Cabin Fever didn't warrant a sequel, and neither does Hostel.

I'll say this i didn't enjoy cabin fever much but i more enjoyed Hostel though. like i've said plenty of times i like to call myself the king of crappy movies. if theres a movie just about everyone hates i like.

There wasnt a political message in the first one, why would there be in a second? Of course it's gratouitous nudity and gore, it's a god damn exploitation horror movie, with about the same depth as a Friday the 13th movie, and that's all it needs to be. It's called entertainment, you should try it sometime. If it entertains people, that's all it needs to do. Not a waste of film at all.

Roth has some random great scenes and moments in his films but he also just has terrible, unoriginal and embarrassing moments and scenes that just ruin it.
