I don't know if taking a picture/video of a girl's ass is invation of privacy, but I guess there's a domino effect.

I'm not talking about that. There are far worse things that people have recorded on their camera phones without other people's permission.

I hear that sketching a girl is a good pick up line type thing...

But for practical, work related purposes, youre right. Teenage girls especially have...unique...ways of standing. Im not exactly sure how its comfortable to be standing there with their legs in pretzel like contortions, but they do...so I assume it could be used for reference, kind of like the way writers will listen to converstions to pick up slang terms and phrases that people use who arent in that writers "type" of friends.

That pretty much sums it up. I draw for comics and I'm also studying animation, and my characters usually come out looking much better there is some sort of real-life refference behind them. Also, facial features are something that's quite interesting to pick up on as well. Some random stranger I see in an airport may eventually end up appearing in one of my comics, simply because their face was a perfect match for a certain character.

And yeah, sketching a girl can be a good way to introduce yourself. Right now I'm just a bit too shy to try it myself, but my brother (who's also an artist) has done it before, and girls usually get a kick out of it. I don't think it'd work so well with just showing her a cellphone cam pic of her body though.

You can't really outlaw taking pictures of people in public. I mean, sometimes it could be inappropriate(like taking pictures of some chick's T and A) but everybody has a turn on for something. I mean, if a dude has an ear fetish or something, what are we gonna do? Outlaw ears when we take pictures in public? What I'm saying is there's just too much to look out for. Creepy people like creepy things. One of my friends had an older brother that used to take pictures of hot womens' feet. Yeah. Their feet. He used to go to a park and do it. If you like feet, then, whatever, I really don't care. But should we outlaw chicks to wear flip flops now? It's inescapable. I really don't know why cell phones have cameras anyway. How often do we run into celebrities and need a picture?
"Oh, sheeet, I'm in this store wearin' a funny hat I found.Thank god I gots my cell camera."
It may be useful in an emergency, like a robbery or something.But I'm sure people with them are just crying in panic.
