Sequels House of M Adaptation

Just a thought that I had about the future of X-Men movies.

First, does anyone think it would be possible for Fox to do an adaptation of the House of M story from the comics using only X-Men characters and be able to do the story justice?

Secondly, would Fox be legally able to adapt the story?

If they were legally able to, I think they could pull it off. However, it would likely need to be a two part movie.

If they can adapt Gifted and included a character who was introduced in 2006 (Darwin) in First Class, I believe they can adapt the story - the House of M.

I'm not really thrilled with the story, though the mutant population being decimated to 180 was kinda cool.

I think a movie adaptation being X-Men only would allow the story to be more focused.

One of the things I would love for the X-Men movie-verse to explore is the relationship between Magneto and his children. That makes me really hope that they have Scarlet Witch in Apocalypse.

Of course, to be honest, I haven't been a fan of the non-X-Men characters making appearances in the cross-overs especially when they aren't needed.

Though I don't want to see another Magneto-centric film.

The scenario I'd like to see would be X-Men: Apocalypse, then a movie focusing primarily on young Jean, Cyclops, and Storm with Mr. Sinister as the villain, then House of M.

I can understand it in a shared avengers universe but no way. NO WAY

Well since both Marvel Studios and Fox have shared rights to Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch I dont see why not. That would actually be a pretty good film. They just wont be able to involve any other superheros from the House Of M comics like Spiderman, Avengers etc.
