I wish Raimi and Elfman would end their feud, but I don't see that happening. But I do think that Raimi can do better than Chris Young. So...what about Michael Giacchino? He's already proven to be a master of adaptations, so he can take Elfman's themes and do wonderful things with them. Plus, he's also proven to be a great composer.

So, what do you think? And, Sony spies, I know you're reading this so give Raimi the message.:o

Giacchino at his best:

Speakers are broken so i cant listen... How did this feud get started anyway?

During Spider-Man 2, Raimi wanted Elfman to copy what he did in the first picture in addition to other compositions. That's not how Elfman rolls, so he left the picture and hasn't spoken to Raimi ever since.

Damn... That's a shame. Doesnt seem like anything they can't get over though.
He was seriously missed in Spider-Man 3.

I'd be all for some revamping. Giacchino definitely does some great work. But let's see who they pick. I think if this is the start of a new trilogy, some fresh blood or perspective might be nice.

^^ They picked Chris Young. Back in April, Fangoria was doing a live video podcast you can see at Weekend of Horrors. It was great seeing some famous people, then Chris Young comes over, gets interviewed and me and other people were asking in the question box (the people hosting read our questions) will he be composing S-M4? He said yes. He said sam asked him, and he said yes.

im glad young is scoring SM4. and mark my words - if i dont see that SM4 score album within two weeks of the film after it's been released, im calling up young's representatives and sony music myself.

I like Young, but he has two things working against him. 1. He doesn't know how to adapt music. 2. His music doesn't make any sense. He nailed Sandman. That's for sure. But his Black Suit theme was ridiculous. I felt like I was watching Batman Forever.

Christopher Young did a terrific job on the score for Drag Me to Hell, and I always think that the more a director and composer work together, the better the scores will be. I'm looking forward to Young on Spidey 4.
