I remember someone said that the post-credits scene was a failure because we still don't know who the man in the shadows is. I'm sorry, but isn't the point of it so we can speculate? I'm glad we don't know who he is... it makes it more fun. I want to be surprised.

This is why I love shows like LOST. The mystery is thrilling!

Isn't the point of a "man in the shadows" that he is, oh I don't know, SHADOWY. That's a ridiculous complaint.

I agree. Its really stupid that people complain about this.

While the Avengers mid-credits scene was cool, there was not much to speculate on. We know that Thanos is going to appear in a future film, but that's about it.

I want to know creepy Sith Lord hood guy's backstory. I really like him for some reason.

I would like Mysterio, but so far, nothing indicates him being The Man in the Shadows.
Nothing about it would fit.

Quentin Beck has a very specific story, one The Man in the Shadows does not fit.

He really just has a strong resemblance to Norman Osborn, so I'm honestly so confused.

It's true. He's like a mixture between Willem Dafoe and 616 Norman. Quite uncanny.

Personal opinion of course, I know a lot of people claim we "see what we want to see" blah blah blah.

I meant how Norman was "the man in the shadows" in the comic books. Man, I feel like there is something crazy going on behind the scenes that we don't know about.

pr0xyt0xin, I was referring to The Other in the Avengers (Thanos's lackey who talked to Loki), his look and personality remind me of a Sith Lord.

Ahh yes. Good point. Perhaps now we'll see a disney crossover.

If Vin Diesel is Thanos I won't even be surprised. I'll just be disappointed that they're just going after the big bulky monster sound. I wanted something more creepy.

I really don't like Vin Deasel that much. Just don't think he's that good of an actor.

He's not, however it will bring people in the theatres. Plus we don't have to see his terrible acting, just hear it. Maybe not as bad of a move as I think.

True. He's going to be in a full costume/CGI most of the time anyway.

I wonder how the Hulk is gong to do with him?

I'm still thinking it's Norman in disguise, until proven wrong that is.

Norman doesn't look to hot by the looks of the SDCC footage. He can't even get out of bed. Doubt he'd be disappearing in jail cells.

He maybe pretending to be sick :word: We know this film will take events 9 months after events in ASM. And they said in ASM that Norman dose not have too much time, for same reason Connors needed to test cure on himself because there was no time to test in on animals. So how then Norman still lying on bed, sick? He should be dead

Who said that it was actually Norman in that bed? Who even said that Norman Osborn is REALLY sick.

Details my friend. Details.

Like Norman Osborn in TSSM, Webb's version of Norman will be all about creating the perfect alibi for himself, while still moving forward with his dastardly plan.

Exactly. And let us not forget that he had been trying to get the "Decay Rate Algorithm" for over 10 years, since Peter was a child.

So yeah. I think the story of Norman dying, and that being his reasoning for wanting it, is 100% BS.

I hope the Chameleon wears the same belt he did in the 90's series Spider-Man if he ever does appear. It's just so iconic, loved it in the show.

If he isn't really dying, then why would Norman be so obsessed with Richard Parker and Connor's research? I think that he is actually dying and the Goblin formula will cure him, but also warp his mind
