How Could Spidey Be Winning??

I have yet to see anyone say exactly how Spidey could defeat Hulk. Sure he might be able to dodge him for hours on end, but how could he hurt the Hulk?

^Prescisely! And the longer the fight went on, the more the Hulk would be favored since he doesn't get tired until he calms down and that wouldn't happen until the fight was over. Spidey doesn't have inexhaustable stamina.

Yes I would agree that image is edifying and based solely on that, you are more then correct. However, I do not know from what comic that image comes from because others show the Hulk moving at great speeds.

Now lets even consider this, is Quicksilver quicker then Spiderman. If he is, which is what I believe, then the Hulk would be quick enough if it was not for Spider Sense. I just think Spiderman starts with a second headstart to everybody else meaning he SEEMS allot faster then he is when fighting others.

The question is whether Hulk could get faster as he gets angrier as well...and by this I mean his strength increases and his muscles become more efficient then couldn't he also get faster as well...reflex wise?

Huh. Don't know. We know he becomes more durible and stronger as he becomes angry. But faster? Don't know. He has been shown to jump for longer distances when he's angry because his legs are stronger.

Given that it was a Spiderman comic, I understand better how the Hulk looks so slow and lost in that panel. I remember the comic where PP states he knows how to kill the Hulk based on his battle with the resurected mafia combo with Hulk like powers. But I think based on the respective powers, the battle could only go one way. Then again, any writer can write it anyway as a plot device or such and that will also largely depend on whose comic book the fight occurs. The winner will be determinned by their popularity imho.

Well it is complete conjecture and I doubt we will ever see writers showing his speed to increase but it does not seem totally impossible given that everything about him seems to improve as he gets angrier (such as his healing factor)

In a straight up fight, Hulk would demolish Spidey. Of course, SM could always use weapons, some kind of knock out gas, reason with Hulk etc..
However, when fists fly, there is no one equal to Hulk.

No spiderman beating hulk is a joke ,sm beating ss is a joke sm beatin thor is a joke , magneto beating thanos is a joke spiderman is not in this class he should be in a poll fighting daredevil batman , captain america , etc the final four should be hulk, ss , thor thanos.

Man whoever is voting in those matches must have absolutely no knowledge about whom they are voting for... It just like in the first DC vs. Marvel comic when people voted that Wolverine could beat Lobo & Storm could be Wonder Woman.

it's not about speed, it's about reflexes. hulk is not slow by any standards, but he certainly doesn't have the reaction speed that spidey does. i think a fight between the two could go either way.

You guys are on crack. Yes I'm a Hulk fan as well as Marvel in general. I own a ton, around 400 Hulk comics. Really think about this in realistic terms. You have Hulk - Super Strong (lift a freaking mtn) healing factor, and so on. Then you have Spiderman - able to lift 800lbs and is quick. Comparing these 2 is a much larger margin than comparing a bull elephant to a man. With that kind of strength, the Hulk could literally thump (no exaggeration) Spiderman and crush him. It's like me stepping on a spider. Comics and these polls are all based on popularity. Spiderman has a chance in comics because he's popular, that's it. I have comics where Hulk is fighting Iron Man, Hercules, Wonder Man, Wasp, Vision, Captain America, and someone else I don't rememer who without looking and he is kicking the crap out of all of them for 2 comics. IGN had a poll a couple of months back and the overall winner at the end was Batman and he beat Superman in the finals. Batman is a regular man that has some hand to hand combat skills and makes gadgets that's it. He doesn't stand a chance in fight with Spiderman, much less Superman. If a man could lift 800lbs and was super quick he would damn near kill you with one punch. They said the reason Batman won is because he's beaten Superman before with Kryptonite. Superman wouldn't even have to get that close to him. He could kill him from a distance. Most of these matches are just stupid and it's nothing more than popularity contest that's it. Why do you think Wolverine always survives his fights with the Hulk. That 6 book story they did on the 2 recently and on the cover Hulk had Wolverine above his head with Wolverines body torn in half. That's what would happen when you have that kind of strength. Well hopefully I got my point across.
