How Crazy Would It Be If Kathryn Bigelow Directed. . . .

Back on Katheryn, anyone think she would kick some serious ass doing a James Bond film?

I could definitely see that. Strange Days, now that I think about it, has a lot of qualities for a Bond film, at least on a basic level. It's high-concept without being hokey, you've got the determined hero, the intrigue, a choice betweeen two women that challenge the hero professionally and emotionally, etc. And action-wise, few could argue with Bigelow's resume.

And she would get an awesome performance out of a Daniel Craig Bond. And we have seen Jim's version of Bond, kind of (True Lies), I would love to see what she can pull off.

I prefer her doing more original movies. I dont need these big directors doing Bond films. There are already over 20 of them. But thats just me.

Just because it's a franchise character doesn't mean it can't be an original film.

I swear people just want to throw out "original" without really thinking how much better or worse it might actually make a film. For every "original" film that people gravitate to, there are a dozen "original" films that are comeplete and utter horses**t. People need to stop thinking so single-mindedly when to comes to words like "remake", "reboot", or "sequel" as if they're horribly dirty words that should never be spoken. Stop acting like certain films are automatically bad because they're remakes or sequels, or based on books or some other pre-existing source material.

When I say original, I mean new story and new characters. Not a sequel to something.
