I fail to see the greatness of either Nolan or Batman Begins. Maybe because I grew up with the '89 version.

I love BB, it's one of my favorite movies so take it as you will but even before BB I was appalled with the Burton Batman, too silly, too goofy the darkness everyone praised until BB, is really just like if a Gothic Looney Tune made it (which essentially is what Tim Burton is).

I grew up with the 89 Batman. it was one of the first movies I remember REALLY looking forward to.

it did NOT age well.
 
For the love of god let's not start another BB vs B89 argument.
