How Did You Choose Your SHH! Name?

I got my name off of the "Family Guy Star Wars" DVD. :woot:

(Although, I think "Blue Harvest" was the fake working title that was given to "Return of the Jedi" when they were filming it, right?)

My friend, back in 2000 or 2001, used to scream "JESUS CHRIST IN A COCONUT TREE!". It was sort of like his insane catch phrase whenever something took him by surprise. I needed a screen name on AOL back then and picked "JesusInATree".

When signing up here since it was a comic book related thing I picked my favorite comic character and inserted "SpideyInATree". The end.

Bc I used to have a short fuse at my old job. And didmy best to keep it in check but afterwhile I was ready to go nuts and want to throw the cash register through the window. I luckily kept my cool. I got a new job now and travel alot and had to pick out that perfect duffel bag for when I go places.

But at the same time I grew up watching Bixby as Banner on TV on the Sci-Fi channel re-runs. Its hard to explain but people who know me pretty much know that out of any comic character Banner kinda fits me best.

because i really like both Spider-Man and the Human Torch. I don't know why i chose to to capitalize the first 2 letters in each word (save for the 'zero' in 'Torch') though

Kane = wrestler
5263 = Kane spelled on a standard phone
0 = as in o for my nickname initial

That was 10 years ago and I stuck with it ever since. :o

About 6 or 7 years ago, a friend and I were watching the movie 'Willard'. At one point in the movie, the main character's mom says to him, "I should've never named you Willard. From now on, your new name is Clark." I turned to my friend and said, "Ya know what? I like that. From now on Beau, your new name is Clark." He replied with, "Well in that case, YOUR new name is Willard." After a while, I stopped the joke and he didn't. The rest of our friends heard him calling me Willard and started to as well. Then, one day we were sitting at another friends house and the song 'Gangsta Nation' was playing. The friend whose house we were at remarked, "****, more like Willard Nation."

This was at a time that I hadn't lived in that town for very long and was still meeting people so every single person I met, I got introduced to as Willard Nation. I actually had some pretty close friends who didn't know my real name.

At the age of 21, I thought it was a good idea to tattoo it (really big) across my shoulder blades. I think there is maybe 1 or 2 people who call me it where I live now. It's always kind of funny when people see it for the first time.

Mine just comes from Raven Darkholme. Come to think of it, maybe that should've been my SHH name.

Before I watched The Dark Knight, I came up with a fancy way to say "Silence Is Golden," as seen in most AMC previews. I entered "PSYLENCEizGOLDEN" into my cellphone's notepad. Gordon's speech at the end gave me "PSYLENTGuardian."

It was a dark and stormy night. I had just missed the closing ceremonies at a science expo in Chicago, I looked around and saw that the back door was open and there was a kennel. There were craptons of super-animal experiments. Many of the animals were on the endangered list, so I assumed they were trying experiments to make them better able to fight off extinction ooooooooooooooorrrr just a bunch of batty loons. Anyways, I noticed one of the kennel doors was open. I hear a growl and see a dingo behind me. Let's just say playing dead didn't end well. Little bugger gnawed on my shin like it was a steakbone.

As I staggered out of the building, I thought "Great...I probably have super rabies or something! How can this get-" I then was immediately struck by lightning as I fumbled for my cellphone.

Forever changed! I became stronger! Leaner (hah not really) Shock-ier! I became a super man! From then I donned a metallic Dingo mask and dispatched justice across the world as the Spectacular...Sensational....striking Shockdingo!...

Wait no, I'm insane, disregard that. It's a name I use on other places on the net, and those names are based on an original character I made for Mugen and other things. :woot:

Most people think I have some type of infatuation with the movie Powder. Nope, saw the movie once when it came out in the 90's and haven't seen it since.

Others think I like to snowboard. Nope, never snowboard in my life.

Others thought it had something to do with Powdered Toast Man from Ren and Stimpy. Nope, if that were the case I would have just named myself that instead as it is available.

TBH I am not sure how I came to this name. As I recall I think I just chose a hero name that I knew there was no hero for and went with it. That's actually pretty lame...

I got mine from a swedish rockband who named one of their albums Gohei. Later I found out they were inspired by the Silverfang anime.

8 power rangers that always get down wid it because every single show they win and defeat evil in the exact same way every single time without fail in the most predictable fashion imaginable.

All my friends have called me Ponyboy since a party-mishap that occurred summer 2002 :cwink:

I thought it had something to do with the Outsiders.

I'd been lurking Hype for a few months and I wanted a name that lent itself to a short easy nickname. I didn't want a comic book based name and dusk/dawn/twilight was my favorite time of day so I played with different variations, and landed on 'twylight'. At the time I thought lowercase looked cool and hip. (stupid Apple and their ads!).

Sadly, I didn't know that book 'Twilight' was going to come out in the future... now I'm forever branded and asked if I like it. :cmad:

I thought it had something to do with the Outsiders.

It did. I was embarrassed about the party incident, so I "Billy Idol-ed" (or Ponyboy-ed) my hair a few days later. They combined the mishap with the bleach white hair and started calling me Ponyboy.

My name comes from Harley Quinn, but on most sites Harley or a variation of her full name is taken, so I've started using one of her nicknames, Harl(s).

I'm not a satanist, if that's what you're thinking :D

It's from Mike Carey's Lucifer series. One of the best comic books ever. Believe that.

2 reasons:

1) The Dark Knight Rises

2) Its the opposite of Knightfall lol

Wow, it's hard choosing a name. I tried Batman, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Detective, The Dark Knight Returns, BatmanTDK, BatmanTDKR, BatKnight, BatDetective, BatmanKnight, Dark Bat Man, Bat Dark Detective, Batguy, Batdude, Dude Bat, Batmandude, Batguyman.

Then I decided hey, maybe if I couldn't get the first 3, I'd should quit while I was ahead and chose Erzengel.

I chose it so when I post people never take me seriously and make Twilight Zone jokes.

I was watching Batman: The Movie one day and saw the commodore in it, and thought it would be a funny name.

I wanted to join a long time ago but most of the names I wanted were taken so I just tried Whiplash with two * symbols chucked in for the hell of it!

Ta-da!
