Names you can't name your kids

Fanny.

And specifically, do not name your child Fanny if your last name is Schmells.

(I'm not just being weird, there is a sportswoman with this name!)

Troy. That's just asking for your kid to grow up into a *****e. :o

It's like naming your daughter Tiffani. If you're not expecting her to end up on a pole, then you better come up with a different name. :o

-Nick (the jerk on the schoolbus who is also a pedophile.)
-Amber

Travis is also another name associated with dumb jocks.

Eugene is associated with nerds who grow up to run MIT.

Alternatively, Trevor is another name associated with dumb jocks. I work with a guy named Trevor, and there are times where I find him on the ground doing pushups instead of doing his job.

When I was in the army, the platoon leader's name was 'teambreaker'

Awful name. even worse, as you guessed, it was his last name...

I know a guy whose name is Awolf. Would that be banned in NZ?

Adolf.

It's a shame because Gustavus Adolphus was quite a lad.

would you let YOUR daughter go out with a guy named Beaver Cleaver?

I wonder if Metta World Peace would have been able to push that bizarre moniker through New Zealand?

All I know is if my last name was Laturne, I'd have to fight the overwhelming urge to name my kids Blue, Red, and Green.

And no kid should ever be named Topher. The reasoning should be self-evident.

I don't think I've ever heard of anyone naming their kid Topher. Even Topher Grace's name is just short for Christopher.

What sort of a wanker would you have to be to decide that you would be 'Topher' rather than 'Chris'?

Probably someone who grew up around too many Chrises. Most guys named Andrew tend to go by Andy, but I know one who goes by Drew.

I think "Christopher Grace" is just as good a name for an actor, frankly. I agree with the wanker comment.

Christopher Grace? What's he gonna do, make Hallmark original movies for his whole career? :o

Alternatively, knowing the way the Screen Actors Guild works, the names Christopher Grace and Chris Grace might've already been taken by other actors. You can't use the same name as another preexisting actor in Hollywood.

I mean, Michael Keaton's real name is Michael Douglas.
