I keep getting a block up (i think from windows) its a 'security center alert'

This is the message-

To help protect your computer, Windows Firewall has blocked activity of harmful software.

Name: Trojan.Zlob.G
Risk Level:High

The only option it will let me click is a 'Enable protection' button that takes me to a site for sofware to buy, this is where the link takes me-

To protect my computer i use AVG, should i be using something else plus this (i was told by a mod that AVG is good and so far it is but it cant seem to get rid or even find this?)

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

Get either ad-aware, spybot S&D, malwarebytes, and/or SuperAntispyware. Run them and they should do a good job of cleaning out any infection.

This is a message board i asked so i may get a opinion from people who may use such products not just put somthing onto my computer that may make it worse that i may find in asearch engine. Not to mention hopefully when Morg is next on hecan help me out as he has done before.

This is after all technical support, if everyone in this forum just googled, chances are there would be no need for support other than avvy questions.

you can get them all through download.com and they have free versions as well.

Highly doubtful!!

Anyway
Spybot
http://www.safer-networking.org/index2.html

Ad-Aware
http://www.lavasoft.com/single/trialpay.php

Run those first (AFTER YOU UPDATE THEM!) and see what happens, chances are if spybot finds it, it may as your to reboot so it can scan before windows kicks in 100%

How to manually remove Trojan.Zlob.G

Files associated with Trojan.Zlob.G infection:
dfxvideo.dll
nvctrl.exe
msvol.tlb
ncompat.tlb

Trojan.Zlob.G DLL's to remove:
dfxvideo.dll

Trojan.Zlob.G processes to kill:
nvctrl.exe

how do you "kill" a process. i have some processes that start at start up that i dont want/need there. i tried to delete em from prefetch but they are there when i restart again :(

open up task manager and click on the processes tab. right click on the process you want to end. Be careful on what processes you end though. You can also go to start>run and type msconfig and shut down some startup items. But once again you need to be careful because this shuts off things so they don't ever startup. I've known some people who have shutdown their video drivers and then when it restarts not have any video.
