you are just like me, I have a PS3 but don't know how to go online too.

are we talking web browser or online store??

OMG Instruction manual?
Yes i did that but it still didn't work so i call customer support and they say I need to have certain PORTS opened.....and some kind of router.....i jsut want to find out how you guys did it...

when you open the web browser press start then a little screen should pop up with a tab area you can type a web site into, then boom your on the net. you can check out you tube video's but other flash sites don't work.

and the online store should come on as soon as you select it... are you using an ether net cable or wireless?

I mean hook it up like i mean in order for the web browser to work in the first place.....

Go to network settings go into Internet Connection Settings... it should then sort itself out automatically

Did it while talking to Customer service guiding me through to make sure....

still nothing.....They said though that there needs to be certain ports to be opened in order for it to work. So I called to see if the peeps can open the ports so I can go online and they said it's not a good idea because there may be trouble with other technical things....

Should I open the ports anyway and take that risk????

I know that I didn't mess with any ports when setting up the connection, I even did a full reset on my router afterwards due to issues with the router itself and I didn't have to set up any ports for the PS3

I'll try it again like tomorrow if it's the same issue with the ports I don't know what i should do....:csad::csad:

How are you connecting the PS3 to the modem. If you are unpluging it straight from your computer and plugging it in to the PS3, you need to turn off your modem and wait 30 seconds. Then turn it on again. Then go through the entire Network setup. That should work. If you had a router, you wouldn't have to do it.
