Okay this is my take on it, many people will say that my opinion doesn't mean s**t because I’m a biased little Sony f**k but honestly I don't care, I’ll try and help you out in any way I can. This is my take on the situation.
You should keep the Playstation 3.
Reasons why you should keep the Playstation 3 is because this console kicks the s**t out of all of the rest of them. Honestly in my eyes the Playstation 3 is worth $600 even if some say it isn't they are just trying to make themselves feel better and try and trick themselves into thinking they don't want it because they know they do. They just can't afford it right now but trust me it’s amazing.
This console has got it all, you get a Blurray player that costs over 1,000 dollars just to buy and you're getting one for 600. That’s awesome, next you also get a built in hard drive that allows you to save movies, games, trailers, ECT. on it. You also are able to store Playstation 2 memory cards on it and keep it on the hard drive and not have to deal with the cards anymore.

Also look at how freaking sweet the graphics look right now. I mean look at Resistance, the game is astonishing well done and easily the best looking launch title for the Playstation 3 and the best launch title almost period. It is Sony's answer to Halo and in my eyes is worth getting the Playstation 3 for.
The game is amazing, and many people who have played the demo just say it sucks but I’ve played the demo and am like "Dude this is not a good representation of the game." The game is amazing how well everything plays out. You have so much happening on screen and with no hitches in the frame rate, it’s astonishing.
Also there are explosions everywhere guys running around left and right, yelling commands at each other, glass that flies everywhere. Chimera jumping out from around corners, learning from your every move. It’s amazing. You'll play the game and they will do some pretty sweet s**t. But also they kind of learn from you, if you're a strafer in a first person shooter then they will use that to their advantage.
If you like to take cover they will take it as well. However they charge you a lot because they want to kill you and the story basically says that the foot soldiers know their lives are worthless so they try and kill you as aggressive as possible to progress the Chimera invasion.
Also you get an awesome story, sweet graphics, awesome weapons that are original; you also get to feel like you're watching a movie. It’s awesome. I don't think many words can describe how awesome of a game Resistance is. However I'm not saying you might like it because you're tastes may differ but this game is defiantly a reason to buy a Playstation 3.

If you sell the Playstation 3 you'll be missing out on this awesome game that easily ties with Gears of War. It took 360 a year to get a killer app and you get one right at the launch gate.
Plus like the guy at GameInformer said the On-line will bewilder you. It is amazing, best multiplayer game I have ever played. It’s crazy with forty players, its just explosions everywhere, bullets cutting the tension through the air. You turning corners hoping not to encounter someone and be thrown off guard.
I have played the online for 8 hours straight because I was so addictive and man I didn't even notice any lag. The playstation 3 servers are amazing, while Xbox live still has lag issues and Halo can't even handle 16 players. I say that is quite a feat.
Another thing, Sony said that you are paying for potential and honestly you are. According to many analysts they say a ton of the Sony bashers will be eating their words by 2007. They say the potential for the Playstation 3 has not been reached yet and it will blow you away when it is met.
All in all I really can't tell you how awesome the Playstation 3 is, I mean it’s just amazing how sweet it is and I really don't think words can really describe how much I love the Playstation 3 and how amazed I am by it. Right at launch you are getting great games like Resistance and more to come like Motorstorm and possibly Killzone 2 if the reports are true.
All in all I honestly think I would need a ton of time to try and persuade you why you should keep your Playstation 3 but honestly I can't. I'm just getting really unfocused over trying to tell you what's awesome its making me want to go play it. So I think I’m going to cut it short now and got play some Resistance.

I think you won't be disappointed, you should just open it up and play it for a while and see if you like it and if not you can always re-sell it. I think you should just take the chance.
