Seriously. Why do we in the States have to wait a whole weekend? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Why the frack did Harry Potter debut in Japan just this week? I don't understand anything anymore.

I still excited but I am mad about what happened yesterday. I was suppose to see the movie at an advance screening but the stupid people who gave out the passes over booked the theater and loads of people with passes got turned away myself included! So the movie theater manger just stood there looking stupid and people all pissed I mean its dumb to give out more passes than there are seats in the movie theater. I wasted my time wining a contest to get the passes only to be turned away!

That's nothing compared to how long most of Europe has to wait.

One word: piracy.

In Asia, piracy is still very much prevalent. If a blockbuster movie is shown in the US first before Asia, then they'll lose out on the Asian market as bootlegged copies would be on the streets the very next day. So, to address that problem, they decided to screen it in Asia first where people who'd want to watch it would have to go to the theaters since no bootleg copies are available yet.

I know, it kinda sucks with the waiting, but I bought all the seasons of Beast Wars (the coolest TF show I've ever seen) to hold up on my excitement.
