How far have you gone to get a missing issue? Today I drove into a long way to get to a comic store to get Sub-mariner issue 4. I tried to pay with debit but they didn't take it so I drove around a town I didn't know well at all and had to find a soveirgn bank, only to find out my card doesn't work. So I had my father lend me money just to get the issue. How far have you guys gone?

I've gone to ebay and paid 4 times as much as I should have to get the issue. Only to see a second printing at my local comic book store a week after receiving it.:cmad:

I have sisters and relatives all over the East US and in California. We make frequent trips to the east coasters and I got all the local comic shops on lock.

Finally got Bru's Cap #8 on my last trip to Philly and Delaware as well as Ultimates 2 #6 in good old Midtown in beautiful Times Square.

But I usually wait to go to these places until we got a trip planned. My local shop is pretty well stocked with back issues and re-orders aren't a big deal for them.

I've ridden my seat-less bike from Downtown Detroit City into GrossePointe. And when I still lived in GrossePointe, I rode my bike to the comic shop during a rain shower and wound up catching a fever that left me with bronchitis. Once I even sold some textbooks I still needed for a class, just to have enough to afford Amazing Spider-Man and Fables.
