yeah, does anyone know what's up with Alan Scott having an eye patch? I admit, I had to roll my eyes at that.

He doesnt have one in JSA.

Wow, that came out of nowhere. If you're still mad about me and your mom, you're just gonna have to get over it. We're in love. Well, she is. I'm just using her for her money.

i dont like the fact that they kill

Do you like the fact that James Bond kills? Same principle.

Only it would probally be a half assed effort.....:(

Like the majority of Marvel's output? :o

Yes, it is similar to SHIELD, but I see nothing wrong with that when it's done this well. It's not like Marvel never borrows ideas from DC.

"Lets have a conflict between two of our biggest heroes! DC would never do that... oh s**t what's that you say about Infinite Crisis? Batman, Supes AND Wonder Woman on different sides of issue? Damn."

any one who is a member of the justice leauge or ever was shouldnt kill humans. (non powered humans) thats just the way i see it, **** james bond, it should have ended with Sean Cohnery

Ollie Queen has killed a non-powered human. And if you're going to say that a franchise should have ended with an actor, spell his name right. It's Sean Connery not Cohnery.

sue me..and Oliver Queen was prob defending himself, or saving some one else, or killing a rapest or some ****, he didnt sneek up behind some one from anothe country and slit his throat.

I was pretty surprised with the severity of the casualties in this issue, myself. I can understand it, given the characters involved (though Mr. Terrific being okay with it did seem surprising to me), but still. I liked that Alan was at least trying to exercise some control on the casualties. One of the field agents said something to the effect of "the White King said keep the casualties down." I'm not digging the uniforms, though. Checkmate's a government agency, not a superhero team--their officials should be wearing business attire like every other government official outside of the military, not weird, neo-fascist uniforms. Small gripe, though.

Overall, I loved the first issue. I like the political drama and I like the whole balance dynamic. I'm looking forward to finding out what all the other positions are for and who currently fills them, and I'm interested to see who replaces the Black Queen's Knight.

I really loved the issue but it isn't an easy read, I had to keep on stopping and reading back.

Nick Fury anyone :o

I didn't like the idea of Alan with a patch when it was introduced last week in JSA Classified. I like my GLs to have depth perception. :(

For me the way the eye is taken out and by who will determine more if I like it or not.

The entire premise of Alan's missing an eye doesn't sit well with me. His body is composed of Starheart energy; it appears however he wills it. He's known this since about halfway through the current JSA series. Who the hell would really choose not to have an eye?

true, and considering all the resources he has at his disposal, there's no excuse for a missing eye, unless maybe there's a magical reason like with Wonder Woman's eyesight
