Do you prefer "live-action" or would you like CGI?

Live action. For one thing, I find it hard to care about completely computer-generated characters (or even overly-CG'd live actors). Second, part of the appeal for superhero films for me has always been seeing these heroes in something resembling my world - tangible people I could reach out and touch.

I know this is a old topic but i want bring in my point of view on this.

I like all of it live action,CGI and traditional animation, but i prefer CGI first really done well before live action and traditional animation because it gives more of the comic feel and at the same time to a certain extent a realistic feel.
It gives best of both worlds.

Transformers prime is a great example.
Other great examples are these.

Now live action vs CGI.
More could be done WITH CGI and more of the story told in a faster pace and it will feel and look more closer to how the characters move, acts and looks in comics While giving that more realistic feel then
traditional animation.

I remember for along time i always wanted to see transformers and g.i.joe in live action because i enjoyed the early cartoons so much like the superhero stuff, but after seeing a live action version of transformers and g.i.joe it was not all it's crack up to be, while a live action film of superman, batman, avengers captain america etc... translates better or really well on film then transformers and g.i joe.

So the superhero films on average has not been a disappointment for me so far for live action movies and i enjoy them alot ,but g.i.joe and transformers films i have seen so far have been disappointment to me to a certain extent.
By the way i still have not see the newest transformers film and g.i.joe,but still plan too.

The cartoons(Traditional animation and CGI) AND comics have done a better job in telling their stories on average then the live action versions so far and the action is just as good or better.
So be careful what you wish for because you might just get it.

Anyway this is how i prefer MY superheros stories first.
1-Comics and graphic novels.
2-CGI
3-Traditional animation
4-Netflix type stuff coming up,tv mini-series and tv series.

5-Live action movies

All good and i like really them all but live action movies is last on my list, but i really look forward to live action stuff too and enjoy them alot.

By the way i think a live action tv version or netflix type show or tv mini-series could do a better job for g.i joe and transformers then the movies that i have seen so far.

Live action, but with even more CGI characters, like Ronan in GOTG for example.

I prefer live action. CGI is a great complement but not yet a worthy replacement. It's easier to do one-note characters like Hulk, but things like Gollum are rare to see done well. Compare that to how often we see good nuance in normal acting and it's clear which is the best.

It's gotta be live-action for me. That's the whole fun, is seeing these characters brought to life, as if they were real. And having really talented actors giving them life.

I'm also never impressed by animation or CGI in quite the same way, in regards to visual effects. You can draw anything, so the craziest battles with the craziest characters isn't anything special, but when they seamlessly blend CGI monsters with live actors, it's so much cooler.

Live action all the way unless you wanna make a series like clone wars

I am going to go with a third option here and say animation. While Marvel doesn't have that many animated movies, let me tell you that DC has some AMAZING ones. The cool thing with animation is that you can literally do anything and it still feels real in a way as compared to a live-action movie that has to CG one of the characters doing a fight or something, sometimes you can just really tell. Animated also has the advantage of being able to be done way more quickly so I don't have to wait a year between each Marvel live action movie.

Live action for me.
Realism gives more impact. The danger seems real to the characters.

Live action, its pure, its true, its not created with computers, its all real. Saying that, some things like hulk and special effects like super speed and iron man's flying and such need c.g.i. but Live action is way better! I also love practical effects like in Guardians of the Galaxy, I think alot of there effects were practical and it looked great!

Live-action.

I don't even care for the upcoming animated Spider-Man/Lego Batman film.
