I've recently gotten back into some small video editing, and occasionally I'll use small parts of movies I have on DVDs, so I'll rip the movie to my HD. All well and good, it's just that the process is so long. The ripping itself is quick, but the encoding and copyright crap takes forever.
How long does it take you guys?
What software do you recommend (to keep at a reasonably high HQ)?
What's your process... is it very involved, or can I set it and forget it?
What color underwear are you wearing?
If you could help me with my questions, I'd be eternally grateful, or until I forget you helped me (which is likely within the hour). Also, if you have any sugesstions for freeware that would be good with editing and the like, please post. I often split the voice track and lay down tracks I've created in parts of movies, and the like... just curious. Thanks.
I love you.
