Comes out next week.....take some guesses. By comparison, BB sold around 4.2 million its first week out. And X3 around 5 Million (I think). These are domestic numbers only. Discuss.

I dont wanna take a guess as i am poor at judging what a movie will make before it comes out. I do have knacn for judging how good a movie will be before it comes out though!

That is a tough one, I believe it will have a big opening week though, so I am going to say 6million units.

Very hard to predict stuff like this. You have to take in to consideration that people are buying the Ultimate Box set which includes SR.

Amazon.com bestselling charts lists the SR 2-disc edition now at #18, Superman Ultimate Collector's Edition is #42 and the Superman Returns Widescreen Edition is #52.

Cars is #1 and POTC2 is #2.:cmad:

I think I need to reduce my figure!

Indeed. Those darn Pirates are already outselling SR, yet again.

Its just too difficult to judge anything like so i'll just wait and see, i hope it makes a killing though.

I'm no good at guessing figures like this, but I'll be buying my copy of Superman Returns as soon as it comes out, I know that much. :D

What ever the number is, SR will not outsell Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut!

WAY too high. 4 million at best! :csad:

I figured it was high, what the hell do I know.

Thing is, Amazon is hardly an indicator of how well Supes will do on DVD. A lot of people may purchase on Amazon, but even more people just drive the five to ten minutes to Best Buy, Circuit City, Walmart, what have you and buy the movie there.

While 6 million units may be a little high, I say it'll be closer to 4-5 million units (including the Ultimate Collection box set). Which ain't too shabby at all.

Wow DVD's sells are hugely frontloaded, anyway I just wanted to say that.

I think that it will sale a little less than Batman Begins in it's first week and over it's entire run. Probably 4mill in it's first week and 5.8mil in total.

I don't believe the Donner Cut will achieve that many units.

My friend told me that the tin box set, already released in Brazil since day 9, is becoming increasingly hard to find.

Its going to be hard to measure the success of the SR DVD alone since the SR DVD also comes in the boxed sets.

I must disagree there. It's no contest.

The new Superman II will sell mainly to fans.

Superman Returns will sell to fans and the general audience.

I hope you're kidding.
No I'm not kidding!
I'm very glad that the WB released two DvD, best move they've made all year.
Now I have something to purchase.

SR for the people who don't know any better.
SUPERMAN II Donner Cut for those that do. :supes:

Yes, because only dopes think SR is a good movie.

Gimme a break. It never stops with the condescending attitudes.
