How many times you brush your teeth?

2-3 times per day. Morning and night always and sometimes during the middle of the day if I am about to go out.

After every meal, even after some snacks.
Must have clean teeth.

Just at night usually. I use mouthwash in the morning.

Twice, once in the morning and once at night before sleep. However, if I had something that I ate that made my mouth feel dirty, and I'm at home, I'd brush it up. I also use mouth wash for extra cleansing.

Gross. Bacteria form matrix associated communities called biofilms while you sleep and in the mouth is referred to as plaque. Biofilms are extremely resistance to many bacteriocides due to their secretion of an extra polysacharide layer. So you not brushing your teeth and scraping off those little communites of bacteria means that they are still there.

Thank you microbiology.

Once in the morning, I'm too lazy to do it again at night.

I brush in the morning, when I'm going to go out somewhere or if the after taste of a meal is nasty, and at night.

Five times a day: once in the morning, if I eat a snack, after lunch, after dinner, and before I go to bed. I floss my teeth twice a day, wash them twice a day with Baking Soda, and I use mouth wash twice a day. No exaggeration, I am obsessed with my teeth. I have to have my teeth clean at all times, and people with bad teeth is a huge turn off for me. When I talk to people, instead of looking at their eyes I always look at their teeth.

Two to five times a day. I'll brush in the mornings and evenings. The rest of the time, I'll brush whenever my mouth feels dry. I rarely floss or use mouth wash (though, I'm trying to turn that habit around).

Do your gums bleed?

Do your gums bleed?

No, they did when I would floss every time I brushed but I stopped and now only floss like twice or once a day. Sometimes I skip a day of flossing and just go onto the next day.

2-3 times. I usually brush before I eat breakfast, if I remember I brush afterwards, and always before I go to bed.

Never. If a tooth goes bad, I simply lose it and another takes its place.

When you brush that often you run a much higher risk of wearing your gums down (when they recede they don't come back and excessive/hard brushing is actually a leading cause of gum recession). Brushing is good, no doubt, but it can be overdone and cause more harm than good.

It kind of sounds like you have a minor obsessive compulsive tendency about your teeth. Do you worry that bad things will happen if you don't do all these things? (Aside from cavities)

I really do have an obsession with my teeth. I have no idea why. I am just kind of a clean freak really. Back in the day I use to have bad teeth problems (cavities, fillings, yellow teeth, etc) and when I turned myself around I determined to fix my teeth. They're pretty "ghostly white" (lol). Um, as far as how often I brush them, I usually brush them like that only when I'm out and about or have a regular routine. But since my summer courses have ended I haven't been brushing as much. Maybe twice a day, still flossing everyday, and I still brush once with baking soda. For bad things happening to them, I just want them to look really good, I want to feel clean, and I don't want to have any dental problems like a couple of my friends and father. Not to mention when I was younger by mom spoon-fed me Bull**** stories about not brushing my teeth...I guess it's like a small trama I guess? LoL, I probably sound like a complete ******. :oldrazz:

Nono, I get it. It's just so easy to do permanent damage to your gums brushing that much- be super careful about brushing too hard. Brushing really its traumatic to your gums and they can be fragile. If your gums recede too much your teeth will fall out no matter how good they are. :o

The best thing you can do is see your dentist regularly because they can nip a problem in the bud that you might not even know about. (Like the gums) So if you're brushing that much and your dentist doesn't see any problems, more power to ya.

Morning and night, and I use listerine after everything I eat.
