I read the Phoenix Saga when it first came out, which was probably years before you were even born.

Oh, yeah, like they couldn't have had Marsden saying the same lines that they gave to Wolverine-scenes that were Cyclops scenes in the comics. They changed the story to push Wolverine down people's throats further.

God, I hate Wolverine fanboys.

WRONGO, In comparison,..........IF......Raimi puts Venom in Spidey 3 I full exepct you to complain about that ....why? Because HE WON"T MAKE VENOMS origin like the comics. He won't be able to do the secret wars which is exactly the same as not being able to do the Dark pheonix saga . There's too much back story, story, different scenarios, different lead ins, too expensive.

god bless you cyclops crybabys:cyclops:

Nah, that's a change I can live with. Hell, I can live with some changes but what they've done to the Dark Phoenix Saga is inexcusable.

By the way, learning to spell, capitalize and punctuate might be a good idea. Idiot.

Then you're a qualified hypocrite because they are similar scenarios. really, are you that weak?

I'll be having fun at the movies.:cyclops:

Cyclops crybabies? Listen, while there are some who are extreme, I think it's legit that people are angry at his treatment.

I really don't know how this movie is going to be perceived by the public and comic book fans. Event though there are a handfull of positive reviews, I don't know where they're head to.

Also, I'm upset that Lauren Donner stated that Gambit was 'too similar' to Nightcrawler and that's why he was cut out. It made no sense.

Deep down, I want this movie to be sucessful but I don't know...I'm keeping an open mind but I'm dissapoined from what I've heard and seen so far. Howver, I'll be there at opening day..

The Unreasonable , baiting extremists are exactly whom i refer to.

You sound competely reasonable, and BTW I have stated before that its a bad idea to kill off cyclops.

as far a the Gambit thing, I state d back in the other thread that my thought is that she meant Gambit is like Nightcrawler in that they are both POPULAR characters and that Nightcrawler had a good amount/ chunk of scenes and that in this movie, with Beast and Angel, there wasn't that much room for a similar approach with Gambit.

I think with Gambit, however, it terrible that he's the only X-Men from the cartoon (the core team) that has never made it to the movies. I guess they're okay with Jubilee then..

I swear, they always give the run-around when it comes to X4.

One person would be open to it, another would rule it out. Because of that, I still think a cameo wouldn't hurt Gambit if they're treating this movie as the last. I mean..why not, right?

I hope that they will make a decision very soon AFTER the release of X3...

I hope in God's name they don't make Wolverine the leader in X4. And as much as I'm not a fan of Wolverine or Storm, I'd have to go with Storm as the new leader. At least she's not as flakey and rampant..

That is, unless Magneto takes over. Hopefully, Xavier comes back somehow as Onslaught - explained as another dark extension of the Phoenix force. And he and Magneto battle it out over the streets of Manhattan, New York.

If Xavier comes back, and merges with Magneto, that would be cool. It would be interesting if they can bring back Cyclops in someway too.

For X4, Beast could conduct an experiment on trying to get Xavier from the astroplane, and while Magneto assists Beast, he is somehow sucked into the astro field and the merging being that comes out turns out to be Onslaught. He could wreak havok on the institute, destroying it, and the team travels across the country trying to stop it. At the same time, fighting off mutant haters and local government agencies. In the end, (like most typical Hollywood endings) a combined team effort finally brings Onslaught to defeat... Hey, maybe they should hire me as the X4 writer.

Xavier and Cyclop's disapearances could be explained as them being sent to another dimension/timeline. Gateway (played by Morgan Freeman) can be introduced into the film (X4) to try and bring them back. And in this other dimension, Bishop (played by Shamar Moore) could also come back with Cyclops and Xavier.

Although, seeing Mrgan Freeman in a diaper, twirling a string around in the air might be a little disturbing to see onscreen.
