Blow out the Olympic torch.
Blow out the Olympic torch.
I once had to play Gran Turismo for 5 hours straight to get a girl to go out with me.
If the rumours are to be believed BVS happens 2 years after MOS.Thats 2 years of Superman doing good deeds yet people still dont trust him.
So Id say he needs more

I've actually been thinking of a scene like that whenever I listen to "Earth".
This may be a tab spoilery but if you've scene the set pics it's all good.
We know that there are protesters that have signs and people burning a Superman dummy etc.
So I like to think that in that scene you hear the sonic boom and people turn around to see Superman floating there with the sun behind him (like in Man of Steel when he first showed himself to the military).
People start throwing things, yelling at him, showing him the burning dummy n all that. He starts tearing up maybe then he hears something, maybe the flooding/natural disaster scene? You know, those set pics of those half houses with the shield on them.
Anyway so he simply just says, "I'm sorry" and bang, he's gone in the blink of an eye, the people protesting are kinda in shock.
Then cut to a news broadcast (which I hope is one of the things they've brought in from DKReturns) with a heated debate over Superman and his place in the world, maybe Lois and that Woodburn guy from Man of Steel? But then they get interrupted by a broadcast of the disaster happening and Superman comes n saves the day, all that good stuff.
I like the concept but the whole mother/child being left in a burning building is pretty cheesy/old to me now. Maybe something a little more unique, like a natural disaster. It would be awesome for our first appearance of Supes is him using his super/arctic breath!Hmm, dnt know. My first thought is to say it needs to be something huge, BUT, if the reporters cameras are rolling it could be something in between, not huge, but not little either..
Maybe something like a highrise apartment fire, multiple floors involved.
several fire engines, firemen, ambulances, and police are on scene. the public and news crews are also there.
Its thought that everyone has made it out safely. A woman suddenly sticks her head out a window holding a small child and screams for help. smoke pours out all around them. fire is all below. several fireman rush in but an explosion throws them back. they try again, but cant make it in. several are injured in trying. fire spreads higher and the screams stop.
Suddenly a rush of wind is heard. it's superman. He flies straight through the wall and comes out holding the mother and child wrapped in his cape. He opens it and they are both alive.
He floats down and hands them off to the waiting ambulance crew, both are ok other than some smoke inhalation. the mother and child both smile and thank him.
The cameras catch it all. superman looks up and sees the reporters and is embarrassed. He flies up, helps puts the fire out, and rockets off.
The crowds cheer, so do folks at home watching it live on tv.

By flying around Earth so fast that it reverses time and space...
This is actually a VERRY good idea.I think thats what they are going for.Even within' a two year timeline, it'll be good for Superman to still have his critics, especially for Lex Luthor's sake. Even 2 years later after MoS, Superman's duty should be to win over the most harsh critic no matter how long it'll take and his realization that they are out there and for the most part, will forever remain. But he won't stop trying.
We'll see if Supes will eventually go into some sort of "exile" during all of this in any installment. Maybe that's the "more" part where people will finally see his importance and feel, with emotion, the creator size void he left behind. That's where people should pray and beg for his return to be their savior because lets be honest: he already saved the world once and should have good deeds to follow. The only way to prove Superman's importance may be the "careful for what you wish for" shtick or "You don't know what you have until it's gone" cliche. Same could apply here for Supes in this situation with the public.
Natural disaster would be cool. And he saves them after thinking of what happened to his father and does what he should have done then.
