Part one: CGI of Spiderman's and Green Goblin's costumes being knit together with cgi of New York.

Part 2: Alex Ross paintings recapping part one.

Part 3: ?

I would love another alex ross recap. the opening credits of 2 is literally my favorite scene of the first 2 movies.

Still, why not freshen the package? any chance we could get steve ditko-esque pannels produced that recap number 2? (Thing is, if they did that, should any Doc Ock imagery be part of the recap? Having Goblin imagery was important for the recap in 2 because what happened with Goblin was important for Harry's story. but I don't see how anything done by Doc Ock is important to 3 and need be recapped.)

any thoughts? besides those saying this thread sucks?

i would love to see a john romita drawing, drawings of spidey2 for the opening credits:cwink:.

I hope we get a recap again of part 2 as we had previously, I mean, Harry plays a huge part in this part.
...but what of the web? you know...the first string of web you see when the movie starts to roll, before the words SPIDERMAN 3 appear...what color should it be?
it has been red and blue already...maybe black? or red/blue turning black as we see the recap drawings?
A thought?

I hope they recap as well. The intro credits are long too so some nice drawings of Doc Ock and Harry finding out who Peter is would be great. Just a recap for the general audience.

It could be done with drawings, maybe they could rotascope selected scenes from Spider-Man 2 & set them up like animated comic book pages & at the end of the credits show a comic book with Spider-Man 3 on & Spidey comes busting through it like he did the newspaper in Spider-Man 2 & the movie begins. Whatever they do, I hope it will be something new.

I just want it to start with Patrick Stewart saying " Mutants....."

is that too much to ask

I want to see art work again so they can recap the events of SM2. I would like them to show Doc Ok, Peter putting the suit in the garbage, and Harry with the GG mask in hand. Thats just a few i would love to see.

Your thinking of the wrong movie, we're thinking of Spider-Man 3.

i was think like, since the first movie had the red thing, and the blue one in the second, this one should be black. and when it says spider man, it should have the symbiote crawling around the opening credits, and it will say spider-man, then the 3 beside it before the symbiote takes over the title credit. and it keeps doing that for all the other things. cgi new york, and the symbiote dripping over the buildings and stuff. i think that'd be pretty cool.

Since Alex Ross isnt coming back just take some screencaps from SM2, play with phothoshop for a few minutes and voila!

make it different. noeone wants to see the same thing. look at superman returns

I really want to see some Ock imagery in the credits. He looked so damn cool. Anyone notice that there was not one pic of the Goblin in costume in the SM-2 credits?? Yep, it looked that bad.

Show some images of Peter dumping his costume in the trash, him and MJ in the web of love, MJ and Peter getting together at the end of SM-2 etc.

All that would be nice to see.

Some Todd Mcfarlene drawings!
I agree with you!
Some time ago he was linked in IMDB to make a cameo on this one. But since is Imdb, I can really trust in the info.

The only person that should that should do drawings is Gabrielle D'Elloto. He draws realistically like Ross does, but in a more comic bookish way.

And yeah, the web should be black at the start

And I want to hear that beautiful Elfman score

well the first one was cgi animated...

the second one had a comic book arty feel to it...

what about cartoon style animation for the last, prehaps retro style from the 60s. retelling the story so far

i'm just trying to see if all the illustrative methods of portraying spidey have been implemented

You beat me to it. If they did go the artwork route, I'd love to see Todd Mcfarlane's interpretation of the movie Spider-Man.

I'm just glad Alex Ross hated Spider-Man 2 so much. No more of his crap.

However, since we don't know if there will be artwork here's a thought. If the symbiote is alien, we could see some CGI of it's homeworld and it's travels to earth.

that would resemble superman returns too much.

You are right. As much as I tried to forget Superman Returns it would resemble it too much.

Ok, scratch my idea. Any other good ones?

:wow: "Crap"? Lets see if you can draw any better! Alex Ross rocks! So what if he didn't like Spider-Man 2 that much? You don't have to insult his work!

And yeah, it should start with some drawings by John Romita, then have the Symbiote be taking over like in the teaser.

I see, I'm not allowed to dis-like Alex Ross's work. As a fan of Spider-Man comics and general Spider-Man art, I must, by law like Alex Ross and all his work. I guess all this time even though I have never liked his work, I guess I really do. I see, thank you for clearing that up.

I'm just saying, just because Alex Ross didn't like Spider-Man 2, doesn't mean you have to not like his work. He is one of the greatest comic book artist that has ever lived.

And not many has talked about the score. I hope Young composes the theme that plays in the opening credis as a darker version.
