How to Train Your Dragon - Spring 2010

pretty much no way that the full trailer could live up to the simple beauty of the teaser considering its obligations to show more of a variety of scenes and characters from the movie, but this is still good stuff. what a lush, gorgeous looking world, and top-notch animation. can't wait.

Eh probably isn't much of a spoiler. I'm assuming that happens in the first 20 minutes of the movie. Looks great though, really love Toothless
As I wrote earlier, the creative did not want it in the trailer. It is apparently a big surprise in the film. Well it was. And considering what is known about the plot of the film, I doubt it happens in the first 20 mins. Probably closer to them midway point.

Yeah, I would've kept it out of the trailer.

Looks amazing! The spoiler is whatever it would have been nice to not know that going into the movie but I actually want to know more now about what happened.

Well there are potential spoilers out there for why[BLACKOUT] she left[/BLACKOUT] if you'd like to know.

Lol, Nope. I'm good. I just didn't think of it as a spoiler but as a hook to draw you in and make you wanna know more.

That is why I asked. And I see it as a spoiler mainly because the creative did not want it in the trailer. It was said a while back that there would be something in the trailer they really didn't want in.

Which is sad that they did that against their wishes as it would have been a nice reveal. But it also makes you ask questions that you know won't get answered till the film comes out (unless you spoil it all for yourself).

We're assuming of course that she really IS his mother and not lying.

I can see why they didn't want that in. I would've wanted it to be saved for the movie. too.

I want to learn how to train Smaug.....just sayin' :D

To be fair, a lot of people probably would have guessed this twist anyway, some already had before the trailer came out. I'm more interested in the how and why anyway.

And here it is...

Crappy song aside, the footage is amazing. Stoick and Valka, breathtakingly sweet. The Empire Strikes Back vibes no doubt.

"Take them down babe." Ok, that line made me laugh, in a good way.

Those giant ice dragons look cool as hell.

They got very creative with this one regarding the dragon designs.

I think them actually having a real production schedule this time really, really helped. This wasn't a rush job like the first. The director got to stretch his creative wings.

it looks like a good story. a story worth telling.

I think it is interesting, because they moved a lot of what was going to be in the third film into the second. So I wonder how expansive it is.

they will make a third movie?
Yep, already scheduled for 2016. The director wad adamant that if he was going to do a sequel, he was making a trilogy, one that ended the series.
