How would you feel about FF2 just being about SS?

I think FF could do an awesome job if the sequel was a two parter (FF2 & FF3). FF2 would be about SS arrival, battle with the FF, understanding humanity, and joining forces w/ the FF to prepare for Galactus' invasion.

FF3 could be Galactus' arrival, semi-decimating the planet with pods (like in Ultimate continuity), and SS & FF teaming up to drive him away. Maybe even end it with Doom draining SS of his powers.

An entire movie dedicated to the Silver Surfers full on history and how he became the Surfer.

I'm not going by some pictures. Especially since probably a good portion of his stuff will be in front of a green screen and not in open view for people to take pictures.

I'm going by what Tim and others have said over the past few months.

And yes, it is just my opinion, nothing more.

American (sorry, I don't have a convenient place to exchange currency near here).

Say what you will about Fox, but one thing they know is how to make money. Clearly part of their interest in this film is to set up a solo SS film.

The way to get people interested in a solo SS film isn't to tell his story here. I suspect they'll limit his screen time and keep him a powerful, mysterious character in this film so that people will say: "Gee, he seems sort of cool. I'd like to know more about him. I sure would like to see a film about him so we can find out who he is, where he came from . . . "

Seems obvious what they're doing. They give SS maybe 20-30 minutes of screentime in total, test the reaction, and see if they could get off with a Silver Surfer movie.

They find out they can't, and that's that.

Seriously though- I want Galactus in movie 2, but if I can't have him and I DO get Doom stealing Power Cosmic, I'll be content.

Better yet, give me BOTH.

If I get n either, I'll be disappointed.

I agree.... what would be the point of bringing in the Silver Surfer if they don't bring in the whole classic arc. The FF and Alicia getting the Surfer to betray his Master should come first, one would hope. Does anybody know who is going to be credited with the script this time? I don't always trust IMDB at this early stage of the shooting.

Sometimes I wish they hadn't gone the Surfer route though. The major menace the FF faced after Sue and Reed's wedding were the Frightful Four, who gave the FF their first defeat. I would have liked for them to come up with a really evil version of them for the film and show how they somehow cause the FF to lose their powers at a critical time, Doom showing up to get his revenge on them.

Willie, I don't think I will take you up on that either. I think part 2 is going to be mostly set up for part 3.
