Supergirl How would you move Supergirl into the main CWverse?

As someone pointed out already though, what do they actually gain from merging the universes other than they're able yo do crossovers more easily?

Nothing.

If they had wanted to make the universes one and the same and felt like they could, it would've already happened.

They've gone on record stating the reasons for not doing it, and those reasons have not changed: there was no way for them to reconcile the Supergirl series as it was developed with what they had already established through the first several seasons of Arrow and the first season of The Flash, specifically with regards to the character of Superman and his presence in the world they'd developed for Supergirl.

^ This kind of statement makes no sense.

Producers say "This will happen...this won't happen.". Then things change...need for ratings and they change their minds. If Supergirl had higher ratings last season. I doubt we would have had the Flash crossover.

Yeah that's for sure, just because the producers say so doesn't mean it won't ever happen. As we've seen before they've covered stuff up and changed their minds at times.

My stance is this I don't want them to merge the universes but in no way will I say it's not possible because it totally is.

I haven’t read comics in years. But as I recall, Supergirl typically existed in the same continuity (“universe”) as Green Arrow, the Flash (and a great number of other heroes). So I’m guessing that this is a big reason why many want to see Supergirl merged with the other Berlanti shows: it’s comic book accurate.

But as far as I’m concerned, these TV versions have already deviated so much (in terms of canonical acknowledgment - or not - of other characters) that expecting “accuracy” now seems dubious.

They can do whatever they want.
But I do not see a reason that says that they HAVE to do it.

After seeing Superman, I see no reason for the show to merge with Arrowverse. She has plenty to do in her own universe.

1) Supergirl crossing over with The Flash had NOTHING to do with ratings. It was pretty much inevitable that the shows were going to crossover at some point, and the reason it happened as soon as it did is because they found the time and a narrative reason to do it.

2) As I've already noted numerous times, Supergirl wasn't set in the same universe as Arrow, Flash, and Legends because of incompatibilities in the way that the series was developed versus the way that those other shows were developed, and would've happened regardless of what network the series was aired on.

1) Supergirl was doing fine in the ratings in the first season.

2) Supergirl is doing fine in her own universe. It's the other shows who need the rub from her. Their numbers weren't that great, especially Arrow and Legends.

Eh, Flash's ratings were fine, and probably better than Supergirl's relative to network size. Note that when the original crossover happened, *Supergirl's* ratings got a major bump.

What we won't see because they are kept in different universes is Supergirl just popping over to see Barry. Or Cisco dropping in on the DEO.

On this ep of the Flash, Barry went to Star City to see Felicity, and that's cool and we love to see that. It's neat and makes you feel good to see the greater DC universe shows are not insular, but instead are right 'next door' to each other.

Not with Supergirl. That kind of little 'visit' will probably never happen, and that keeps SG as more of an outsider show rather than as a full alumni in the Arrowverse. For me, it makes me feel like 'something' is missing.

Personally, I hope they merge. Give it a few seasons, really work up a good plot to explain it fully and handle all the paradoxes involved, but do it.

I want the universes merged just for the fact that I would love to have all my DC heroes in the same place. Would be so cool that Supes could come to Star City or vice versa without it being some big deal (dimensional jump) to have them appear. But, I am an old DC comic geek.
