I know this is more of a thread meant for the next installment, but provided the question, I think it would fit in the context of ROTF, since this is a question of how you would've included the Dinobots in it, rather than a sequel.

For me, I would have their protoforms crash into a Jurassic Park-type theme park, where they just end up being money shots for the latter half of the movie.

How about you?

I think that's the only way they can really do it? :huh:

Only way I see fit.

Don't forget the obvious racist remarks

And transscanning dinosuar bones?

Enjoy your stealthy-ness in protoform.

Two words: Triple. Changer.

Have them crash to earth in prehistoric time, and have them scan a dinosaurs bones. And scince the allspark killed the dinosaurs, when the allspark crashes to earth later, it puts the Dinobots in stasis-lock. When the sun-harvester turns on, they wake up. The allspark energy changed them to be dumber and more brutal than most Cybertronians. They come out of the ground in some city, and scan their third mode, which would be:

Swoop=Pterandon=Motorcycle

Snarl=Stegosaurus=Smart Car (Slag's Twin)

Grimlock=T-Rex=Monster Truck

Slag=Triceratops=Smart Car (Snarl's Twin)

Sludge=Brontosaurus=Crane

I would've had the Dinobots crashed into Earth millions of years ago, and they decided to "blend in" by transforming into the dinosaurs they encountered over there, and wait for the Autobots to arrive later. However, they got caught in the lava and while it didn't killed them, they were encased and buried hundreds of feet below ground, until an accidental discovery freed them from their prison. Grimlock then lead the Dinobots and rejoin the Autobots (after some conflicts with the rank-and-file, of course).

As much as I love the Dinobots, I think introducing all five of them in a movie would be a bit much. Stick with just Grimlock by himself.

A protoform Grimlock falling to earth gets hit by Decepticon fire on the way down and crashes into a movie prop storage facility (believable, since the TF movies take place partially in California). Grimlock's brain/central processor is a bit damaged by the attack and he just scans the first big mechanical object he sees for his alt-form. In this case, a full-size mechanical T-rex. Possibly the prop T-rex should be stripped of its rubber skin to explain its "robotic" appearance.
In this introduction scene, we wouldn't see Grimlock transform yet. He would show up later and only transform to T-rex mode during the big slam-bang final battle.

If Grimlock ever appears in a film they must get Greg Berger back to voice him.

Maybe they could just use Grimlock and have him turn into a T-Rex themed monster truck. A lot of fans would scream bloody murder, but hey, he'd at least be in there.

Or, he could be really old, and his earth form was a T-rex. When they find him he's stuck in a rock layer, and he's been buried so long that his synthetic flesh covering has all rotted away, leaving us with something akin to a T-Rex version of the Terminator.

I would have had them hatch from giant transforming dinosaur eggs.

There's really no reason to use dinobots unless something occurred in prehistoric times. That would be sort of cool, though.

I wouldn't....there are too many of them to introduce into one movie, PLUS decepticons, PLUS the other autobots...there would be no time for anything else except introductions. :P

Introduce a couple of the things. The key dinosaurs, we don't need to see dozens. Make a prehistoric Transformer sequence. Maybe some Transformers fled Cybertron millions of years ago when Unicron first attacked, ended up on Earth or something, and took on dinosaur modes.

It wouldnt be that hard to introduce the dinobots, i'm just not sure if its a good idea yet. Obviously, I want to see at least Grimlock somewere down the line, but the best way to do it seems to be the way Furman did it in the comics.

I would introduce them with fireworks, thunderous applause, and a giant blimp with the words "ME GRIMLOCK" written on it when they first appear on-screen.

:)

Great idea. That would be the perfect way to bring Grimlock in. :yay:

That......would be PERFECT. Mindless, destructive........it worked for the kitchen bots and Dispensor.......

I think that just might be the best way to do it.

It's funny.... at this point I feel the same way about Grimlock not being in TF:ROTF as I felt about the Lizard not being in Spider-Man 3 after I saw it.

I was disappointed all the way up until I saw the movie. But now I'm glad that a character I like so much wasn't part of such a let-down of a movie.
