I'll keep that in mind for further instances (by the way, I had no idea she wasn't American, she's talking about baseball, cmon), but even if she was Russian and had never spoken a word of English I'd probably have done the same thing. A, because I didn't know this fact, and B, what better way to learn a new language than from a "grammar nazi" on a message board in the language you're trying to learn? yknow.
