I am in no way trying to cut in on anyone. I helped Erz out with the awards in 2008 with nomination tallying. I have no interest in doing that again. I'm also not hating on you for not finishing stuff. I made that comment mostly for Darth and knowsbleed (for last year's DMs and Hype Awards). I know you had stuff come up during Hype Idol 2. My only point was its a new community around here, so why not have the hearts of it now do it. Guys like Erz are less involved now.

This is true...I am glad they came back, though. Good to have something else for the community than just Survivor. Seems like everything else the community had was dying off.

Well, that's the mentality of the Community these days. None of the new people are really generating any new ideas for anything... all originality has vanished. Why pass on the "mantle" when none of the newer members really even care?

Well, that's the mentality of the Community these days. None of the new people are really generating any new ideas for anything... all originality has vanished. Why pass on the "mantle" when none of the newer members really even care?

There really hasn't been any great new games or whatever created over the past few years has there? Through the years I've witnessed some cool stuff with Survivor, DTL, Deathmatch (though I've never been in it), Idol, etc. I even started the Contest of Marvels, which ran successfully for 2 seasons before fizzling in season 3 (granted, each season lasts about 8 or so months so I understand the burn out).

I'm waiting for the next big thing but it just never comes.

Idol is going to be amazing, assuming we get some reliable contestants. But the format this time around is entirely revamped and all kinds of fancy!

It's not so much the lack of games but the lack of dynamic threads and posters. The Community itself feels like a wasteland. I use to pop in the morning and there use to be multiple threads to choose from now I see threads from a day ago still on the first page sometimes barely going into their 2nd page.

I'm not going to argue and sound like an oldbie by saying how great it use to be but looking at the front page for a thread to post in is like trying to find your size in a clearance shelf the day after Christmas.
