Hype Survivor Hype Survivor 30: Big Brother (Week 1) - Tag, get the **** out!

Votes 5-9

ComicChick

Sorry CC, but with a vote of 6 to 3...

Heh, I just realized that Julie winks in that gif :)

Anyhow... I did not get votes from Ahura or Hunter Rider so both of them can only miss 2 more votes before being evicted from the game. Pay attention guys... don't go out that way. You're better than that.

ATTENTION

And so, with that, I call Week 1 of Survivor 30: Big Brother to an official close. Chat, rant, discuss... what have you... but tomorrow begins Week 2 and you are no longer safe. Kal, as outgoing HoH, will not be playing in the new HoH challenge.

Being that this season is very different I'd like to hear some input from you guys on this week, what you think worked, what you think didn't work, etc. We may not listen to a word you say but we'd like to hear it anyhow.

I'm not happy with how long this week took so we will be shortening it in places. Between each thing will be 12 hours (a change in that we gave Kal 24 hours to decide his two Nominees), and the challenges timing will of course change as the challenges need.

Good first week everyone... except for Donut, Knowsbleed, Teddy... and now CC... sucks for you guys.

Here's to an excellent season.

Nothing more frustrating than winning Survivor and leaving early to add to your resume. :down :csad:

I know... nothing stings like a week 1 eviction... especially for such a good player.

Great Job JewHob and SF. I do wish however that you'd make vote deadline 24 Hours, it's just more fair for the folks with a job/family/etc.

But all and all, good stuff

yeah but i guess i can take the compliment that i'm still perceived as a threat since i skipped a few games and get put on the chopping block day 1

yeah, but Powder-Man did make such as awesome GTFO gif.

Okay, I just realized that Ahura Mazda cast his vote a minute after I started revealing votes... so being that we are being leniant this week and that his vote doesn't change anything I'll go ahead and remove his no vote... so only Hunter Rider has a no vote against him. After this week I will not allow even a minute late... but this is test week, so no big deal.

The final vote is now 9-4.

The main reason as to why we want the final vote out at 12 hours instead of 24 is because the weeks are going to be longer than normal by nature due to there being 2 challenges. Also, after the first challenge we know the two Nominees so we should at least have an idea of where the votes should be going. It's a little trickier when a Nominee is saved and replaced, but that's why I ask everyone to keep up on what's going on. If this does serve as too much of a problem for too many people I'm willing to extend the eviction vote time, if SF is okay with it, but I'd prefer not to.

We're already estimating a 3 to 3 1/2 month game. I don't want to extend that if at all possible.

Get the game to end on Christmas Day. Best gift of all is a survivor free christmas :awesome:

I think, switching the HOH nominee decision to 12 hours and the eviction voting to 24 hours is the way to go.

The idea is for both to be 12 hours. If this isn't feasible, let me know.

HoH challenge
12 hours
2 Nominees named
Nominees and HoH pick 3 players for the PoV
PoV challenge
12 hours
PoV used to save or not save a Nominee
Replacement Nominee named if one is saved
12 hours
Eviction Ceremony

That's already a day and a half plus of waiting. Add the time of the challenges, which very, and we have long weeks already.

I really like having 24 hours for eviction. I wasn't even awake when the votes were due.
