Hype Survivor: Mods vs Members - Day 14: All Good Things....

I never expected to make final 2 this game so my main goal was to see SF get his win. I of course wanted to win once I got here but if I had to lose I'm glad I lost how I did.


So now who's the best player to have never won the game? POWder? Did he win one before retiring?

To answer Jewhob's question about the best player to not have a W, now that Spider-Fan has one, I'd say it is probably Hunter or POWdER.

I would go with Powder myself. No offense to Hunter, but I just never played a game he was in and only co-hosted the one game he played. Powder I have more experience with, and I know exactly how strong a player/competitor he can be.

Thank you guys, maybe one day I will come back. I have played Survivor 4 times and have reached no lower than 6th place (2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th(would have been higher but I took a chance and it didn't pay off))

Hunter is, IMO, a better strategic player. In my experience both hosting and playing with him, POWdER dominates challenges and is strategically adept, but unable to really take it to the next level where he can entirely mastermind and run an entire game. Hunter is capable of that and to me, that gives him a slight edge. Bella has a win, but it is rightfully Hunter's who ran that game and voted himself out in order to give Bella the W (so in that regard he won).

I am not being forced to say anything against Hunter, he is my boy, but I don't even know where you came up with Hunter "running" that game. We ran that game together and each brought in a member in our core alliance but I worked harder as after the tribe switch I got stuck with nobody in our main alliance and I had to secure the votes from other players to get to jury. Once there, I actually saved Hunter with my hidden immunity idol. Yes Hunter voted himself off in the end but that was because he wanted Bella in the finals in his place to win, it could have easily been myself and Hunter in the finals as the way it should have been. I would have probably still lost against him as he was more popular but I would have actually tried in my jury questions so it may have been closer. I actually purposely pissed off a couple jury members and tanked my questions on purpose against Bella to ensure her win.

In any case, I suppose this is good time to make an announcement about the next Survivor.

That’s right Survivor XXXIII “Hollywood Hype” will be coming this Winter, 2013. I will be one of your Hosts for this Survivor and along with my secret Co-Host we will be bringing you one of the most exciting games ever in the History of Hype Survivor. We are already hard at work creating some of the best challenges we have ever seen and have never been used.

Whether you are a fan of movies or simply a fan of Survivor you won’t want to miss this Survivor as two Hype Survivor greats combine their experience and knowledge to make an amazing game. Expect some thrills and spills and maybe a few surprises as you will be knee deep in celebrities and classic movies.

Oh yeah….you are probably wondering who is my co-host.

Well between your Hosts we have had 6 jury appearances (including 3 – 3rd place finishes, 1 – 4th place, and 2 – 6th places), 2 final two finishes, countless immunity challenge wins, and 1 Survivor win. Not to mention my co-host has won Hype Mole not once but TWICE! That’s right! My co-host is…..

Oh man, I can’t tell you how much of a great honor it is to be able to co-host this Survivor with him as I regard him as one of the best to ever play this game. Not only that but Kal is a machine when it comes to winning challenges (and creating them), and I can’t envision anyone else better to have by my side than him.

I am greatly looking forward to returning to Host again and I am excited to get this started.

I agree, I was thrilled to have Kalel join me and we are forming a great game so far. We actually have more challenge ideas than we know what to do with them. I think we have twice as many challenges than needed so the hardest part will be what to keep in the game.

I hope you reconsider playing between now and then as you won't regret it. We will be needing judges and possibly a guest host or two so we will certainly consider your offer if you don't play.

It sounds crappy but the best introduction is to just join and get used and abused by the more experienced player. You honestly learn a lot like that. I did anyway.

And people were mentioning the old hype updates... I liked that pecentage chart that I think Brodie was doing that took wins, 2nd places, and jury appearances and ranked everyone. I'd love to see that updated.

You should do a Big Brother season. Twice the challenges! That was the hardest part of the season I hosted. I'm not the bet at coming up with challenges and I had to create a lot.

Typically a game or two in advance. I don't think anyone's clamed the one after Powder's... though I could be wrong.

Also JewishHobbit, you played an outstanding game from what I've seen following this years game. You played a very smart game and that's why you were in the final 2, which is nothing to scoff at. So congrats you too man. You should be proud.

Well we are aiming for sometime after the new year to give some time between this last game and the next one. That way to give more time for the career survivor players to get motivated for the next game. There will be a sign-up thread posted here in community which will last anywhere between a week to two weeks.
