Hype Survivor HYPE SURVIVOR: THE NEW CHALLENGERS - Day 1: Welcome to the Island

the last 2 hours or so have totally confused the heck out of me

All will be revealed in due time.

Someone who voted for norm probably switched to CC which just canceled out the endorsement.

Umm, I don't accept vote switches A-Man.

All I can say is that right now, CC is safe.

Whoa, a tiebreaker? ComicChick and StorminNorman!? :wow:

The tie breaker challenge has come to an end!

Now many of you are probably wondering, who is voted out? ComicChick or Norman? The answer is...NEITHER.

I made an initial mistake (and for that I apologize). This was a three way tie. No player got the majority vote, therefore all three players with votes against them were tied (as is the case on the real Survivor). The tie consisted of ComicChick, StorminNorman...and Mee.

As I was preparing to send out a PM informing our three participants that Mee was involved and I made a mistake in overlooking Mee, ComicChick received her endorsement from Draven right before I could send it out. Therefore she was safe. So, I sent the challenge to Mee and Norman informing them that the first to get an endorsement from a past Hype Survivor winner would be safe.

ComicChick, as stated above, received an endorsement from Eric Draven who has won two Hype Survivors.

Meanwhile, Norman received an endorsement from Slinger, who won an older Hype Survivor hosted by Reader.

Mee has not received an endorsement.

Mee...you have the unique distinction of being the first player voted out of Hype Survivor. But know that I still love you even if one of these bastards do not appreciate you :csad:

Never-the-less, I have to tell you:

Day Two will start Monday with Bella at the helm. Be nice to her. That thread will pop her Survivor host cherry.

Can I get an example of when this was a rule in any other Survivor?

On Survivor (the television series), there was a tie of three, if I remember correctly, resulting in all nominated players choosing a stone from a bag and the one who picked the wrong color was eliminated. It was one of the earlier seasons. Post Africa but Pre-Pearl Islands.

At any rate Badger, this decision is final. If no player gets a majority vote, all players voted for are part of the tie.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you make this mistake? Were three of the other votes intended for Mee, but you made the mistake of looking at votes twice?

Honestly...I just wasn't paying attention. My wife is out of town for the weekend so it is just my daughter and I and I've been more occupied by her than the Hype. I quit paying attention and overlooked Mee. And you all have my apologies for that.

By the way, fair warning for everyone, from this point on, ties will be broken by Penguin game scores regardless of game time, so study the Pittsburgh Pens damnit :cmad: :cwink:
