Sushi... that food that many people are afraid to try but once you develop a taste for it you can't get enough of it (get your minds out the gutter :cmad:). I love it and wish I could eat it every day but it can get pretty expensive.

So what kind of sushi do you like and what are the more exotic ones you've tried. My goal when I get to Japan is to try fugu (blow/puffer fish). I've heard that you can only get it in places that are certified to serve it due to the poisonous aspect of the fish and that when you eat it, it has a numbing effect. Awesome!

I love Sushi and Sushimi. Good Stuff!

Also... if you have any favorite restaurants in your local area then let us know. Traveling sushi fans want to know. I don't usually go for chain restaurants but Todai has such great food along with the other seafood there that I can't resist it when invited.

LOL @ the sushi that looks like a joint :D

I don't think I've ever tried it :o

You people and your in-your-endo are desecrating my sushi thread. Bring it to the lounge you filibusters.

Wasabi... yay or nay?

I had Wasabi nuts one time. I then considered cutting off my tongue.

I loves my sushi. Never had the expensive fine stuff but when I go to Asian restaurants...you better believe I get me some sushi.

I've had Japanese people tell me that Americans tend to use too much wasabi and/or soy sauce when eating sushi. I still like both however.

I've never had sushimi......

I've only ever tried the california rolls that have the rice seaweed and cooked lobster in the middle. I'm still too afraid to try raw fish :o

I use no wasabi nor soy...eat it like it is.

Depends on the fish and the flavor. I don't add anything to unagi (eel) because it's already cooked. I do add wasabi to fatty tuna and sea urchin because they aren't my favorite flavors by themselves.
