I Guess We All Knew it was Coming.. PART 2!!! (Licensed Costumes)

Now, I have nothing against Watchmen costumes in theory, but the quality is just...ugh.

^If Nite-Owl were to shout "My eyes!" that would be my reaction exactly.

I am so glad Alan Moore doesn't use the internet.

Those are not the best costumes. But.

I truly grow tired of these comments "Oh Alan Moore will be pissed/glad he's not seeing it" stuff. Alan Moore is an intelligent being, he knows the game, he knows how it works. Even in the Absolute Edition of Watchmen he was talking in the letter about the games/pins and stuff that were heading out, and he had no idea it would be huge.

Watchmen is the greatest, but just because its great does not mean, no one can make memorabilia, or merchandising off of it, Moore is a nut job, but deep down the man knows, this is how business goes, and it does not effect the work itself.

Yea some of this stuff may not be top quality, but who cares, this kind of stuff happens with anything popular. And Watchmen is a popular thing with in the comic crowd. People act like this is the first time Watchmen stuff has been released. It has since the book came out.

EDIT: As well this does not deserve its own thread. I say merge it.

I love them. Perfect, given the context.

I forsee a lot of Silk Spectres this year.

Mmmm...

That is the only good one...and the Manhattan face thingy isn't that bad either.

They're not any better or worse than the other superhero mass produced costumes out there.

if they have a bette rRorschach costume..I might consider

Oh well, you can say one thing at least they got Nite-Owl II's weight right.:oldrazz:

Those are manips right?

right?

They have to be. Look at Ozy and the Comedian. I'm no photoshop expert, but they look a bit...off. Like the masks are pasted on. So does Silke Spectre's head.

At least, I hope they're photoshops. These things look more like bargain store knock-offs than official merchandise, and I thought models were supposed to be in shape.

Those are pretty bad, but what do you expect? The Silk Spectre one actually looks pretty decent.

Also, I could see taking the Rorschach mask only, and using your own thrift-store-bought trench coat and making a decent Rorschach costume. Or the Doc Manhattan mask with a suit.

It all looks horrible. Silk Spectre will be good if its really ****ty. That's the only costume they seem to have gotten right. The amount of money they charge for these things you could go out and make yer own for maybe even less. The quality is awful and you know it takes 5 dollars to make.

I'm gonna buy up a bunch of these and go to an old man's house with my gang and beat him to death with an award on Halloween.

The Silk Spectre one is the only good one, looking forward to see hot chicks in them this Halloween.... when it's only nine months away?!

Alan Moore must be rolling over in his grave..... which is what I assume he sleeps in at night.

They only charge 40-$60 for this stuff, and you think you can make a better quality one for that amount? Go for it. $5.00? That I would very much like to see.
