I hate that every time I get into a new tv series it gets canceled. This is the third time or fourth time in the past few years that it's happened to me and then they announce canceling.

Hannibal
Dominion
Lights Out
The Strain
And now From Dusk Till Dawn

It's sad because these are good shows. Why me

It happened to me with Lie To Me. Great show and cast and they canceled it. I try to wait until a series is over before I watch It now.

I just don't understand how shows like supernatural, law and order, law and order SVU, all the csi shows, and ncis shows get like 10 to 15 seasons but these other shows get 4 or 5 and it's axed.

Ratings. Supernatural has a very good following. I watch it and they've been consistently good. Some shows just fall flat and the networks want fresh stuff.

Happened to me with Breaking Bad. I felt so foolish when I finally binged it and realized what I had missed out on.

I started watching after season 3 was on Netflix. It sucked waiting for that final season after catching up. Amazing show tho.

Its both a blessing and a curse to get into a show so late in the game. I like that I can just binge it straight through (Sons of Anarchy and Breaking Bad) but it sucks to miss out on all of the discussion.

Supernatural is on cw which has a lower ratings threshold than other networks. Some of their shows would probably be cancelled if they were on a different network.

Middle of the road procedural shows have always been popular with middle aged and old people.

If I could get 7 good seasons of a show like soa then I would be happy. I hate that a show has to end when there was so many stories left to tell.

Yeah I don't normally watch the abc, cbs, nbc shows but damn Hannibal was great. Since I got married I started watching sitcoms and series but is upsetting when you get into something and out of nowhere gone

Risky shows tend to have a very limited run on major network tv more often than not. Hannibal was never going to be one of those shows that ran for 10 seasons.

If a show can reach five seasons then that is usually good enough for me. I would call five seasons a successful run these days.

I agree with you on that note. I personally thought it could have went 5-6 seasons. It still had to tell the clarice story even if they would have to change the names and arc up a little bit.

I hate the 1,2, or 3 seasons and done.

Reason why I love the flash it's on cw and it legit could go along time.

I didn't know fx, el rey, and others pull so quick these days.

Its' why I prefer to watch mini series on HBO or Netflix. That or anthology series, so I know if I like something it's for a short period and I don't get worked up about it not lasting multiple seasons.

I've just gotten into Timeless and Longmire.

I felt that way about a British show called The Fades, I was really into it, then I realized they only made one season.

On the other hand, it's kind of fun to find great shows late when you know they're already cancelled. I was a late addition to both Breaking Bad and The Wire (Picked up Breaking Bad during S3, and The Wire I watched last year) Amazing shows.
