The beach is awesome, haven't been to one in 6 years, but I remember how fun it was.

I live three hours from Ocean City (a city with ocean), I go there every summer. I'm going there in about 2 weeks, can't wait.

I live in Illinois, which is famous for not having beaches. Except, my town actually has its own lake. Many Mid Westerners would see that as incredibly lucky.

I would only go to see the girls in bikinis, but there are none: Just middle aged moms with their kids and a bunch of guys hoping for girls to show up. Plus, my brother got an ear infection from swimming in the water. No self respecting young women go to the lake. "We want to go to a real beach!"

There are few things more depressing than "beaches" at lakes. I love the shore, but if given the choice I'd rather just be poolside than at a lake.

Totally agree. Lakes are extremely nasty...not to mention all the lakes here are infested with Gators.

This is true. Some beaches have swarms of jellyfish. New York beaches, such as Jones Beach, has swarms of used condoms in the water.
