How the hell did Wayne Palmer become president?? Doesn't make sense to me unless they just blew a major major spoiler. Even then, I figured a lot of people must die before he would become the president of the USA.

Here is my question: The show is based on events that happen during a day...24 hours..each show being 1 hour of the day. So, when does Jack Bauer take a minute to pee or crap or even eat a bite to eat. No one on that show urinates or eats food...it's fake.

my understanding is that the new season (6) where Wayne Palmer is President takes place something like two or three years after season 5...

The bigger question is why didn't you post this in the thread already dedicated to 24 season 6 in the Misc. TV Shows forum...

That's why Jack and the CTU team are the best of the best.....they don't pee.:cmad:

It takes like ten minutes for them to get anywhere in the world.:whatever:

I'm sure we'll find out in the two-night, four-hour premiere.

They don't have to follow the posted speed limit.....:cmad:

this thread is debating the veracity of things that happen on a TV show?
here's a puzzler for you, how come all those slobs on sitcoms get the hot wives?
Pfffft....that's not real, it's like they create some sort of fantasy which they then coordinate and broadcast throughout the.......

Ok, first, wrong forum.

Second, this season takes place about 5 years after President Keeler defeated Vice-President Prescott for the Presidency.

We are to assume that Logan's vice-president/President as of the end of Season 5 Hal Gardener ran for re-election. Meanwhile, Wayne Palmer pretty much pulled a Bobby Kennedy (Wayne was after all David's chief of staff for half of his term so he does have experience) and won the white house.

it happens off camera, genius. they don't actually show every second of every character in those 24 hours. :whatever:

I know that's a common complaint that people like to make, but geez, it's like they're too lazy to think. :cmad:

now that point does have some validity. but it doesn't have to be 100% realistic.

You actually want to see Jack Bauer taking a dump, the screen splitting into other scenes and the clock counting down?
