That famous title page ( of Peter hugging MJ's gravestone )that caused all that stink is actually from Spider-man Reign, ( alternate future )
And Joe Q has pretty much voiced his hatred for the marriage etc, apparently him and JMS are doing a miniseries next year to "fix the problem" ( summer 2007 I think was mentionned )
So of course, coupling it with the unmasking we are thinking her death. ( Besides the fact she could die in the 3rd movie ) Honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if she died before the end of Civil War.. ( *shudders*, 5 is out next week )

It is rumoured that she will bite the dust in the new film among other things.
Which could point towards her exiting the comics via death.
You know how Marvel like to synchronize stuff from the films to the comics these days, in the hope of keeping it all simple to attract those illusive non-comic reading movie fans.
Joe Q makes no bones about the fact that he thinks the marriage is the reason behind all the bad in SM comics today.
No the that the editorial/writers could actually have something to do w/ it..

I'm not saying I think MJ will definitely die,
I just think there is a big chance of big change w/ PP/MJ soon.
