Marvel Select.

I was reading an article from a guy at Diamond Select and he said that the Hasbro deal doesn't affect them. They still choose the figure and have TB produce it and they make and distribute it like it's always been done.

Though he denied it being like a sister line to Marvel Legends, we all know it sort of is what with figures like Thanos, the Watcher and Mephesto coming out that are kind of in ML scale.

Anyway they asked what the scale they could do Marvel figs in was. and the guy said any scale we want. Though we prefer the 7 inch scale (of MS) we sometimes get doing other scales due to certain licenses (like Buffy's 6 inch)

Anyway they asked about a potential playset and they pretty much said no due to the 7 inch Marvel Select Scale.

Anywho....I though that since they can make figures in any scale then MS should just put out one big ass Marvel Select figure of Fin Fang Foom. I would gladly pay double or more for one....And if it works we could see other obscure big figures done like this (Terminus, Ronan......) and maybe even Classic Sentinels.

It is perfect, Diamond likes to do obscure characters and you know this would sell despite being twoce the price and size.

So what you guys think? Logicaly good Idea or not?

hmmm... i'd stick with the build-a-figs.. but thats just me...

and btw.. mephisto isn't ML scale... mephisto in that form is the same size as a regular man... so he should be a 6 incher not a 7

Oh...well he can change and **** and do whatevwer he wants.

Anyway he's just gonna sit on his throne in the background so it's all good to me.

i hope he looks right though.. i dont want him being bigger then black heart in my display... blackheart always looked like a bigger character to me

BH always strikes me as a tall lanky *****...I guess it's from the MvC games.

he was a buff bad ass in MvC... i didn't think he was lanky.. but a tall buff badass

Anyway....a Big ass Marvel Select Fin Fang Foom would rule.

still rather it be a build a fig... means much more articulation

That is true, but the BAFs now are coming in smaller sizes, if they make a Fin Fang Foom it would be tiny and therefore Suck.

Tell me that you honestly would not buy a MS FFF and I will drop the subject right now.

I dunno.. i prob would.. but i'd still like it in legends.. plus.. toybiz made the decision to start doing smaller.. doesnt mean we wont ever get a bigger one from hasbro again.

I would buy an MS Fin Fang Foom, but only if he wasn't made as a BAF. Jesse said that Toybiz had developed a way to make him fit in a regular size wave, maybe when Hasbro sees the demand for him they'll decide to make him.

this was back when oil wasnt so pricey
they said he would have to be 10 figures like giantman if you want giant figures anymore

i still think icons is the best chance
jack the price up to 20 and split FFF into 2 pieces, put half with one character from an icons wave, and half with the other character

you do know.. either way.. weather the fig is split apart in legends.. or split apart in icons... the fig is still being made.. thus they'd be spending the same amount for the cost of oil

Didn't he say in one of the Ask Jesse topic on Fwoosh awhile back that they had made plans for the Quinjet and Fin Fang Foom that would allow them to put them in regular sized lines while still being able to make it worth even with the high cost of oil? I swear I remember reading that somewhere.

you did.. i still wonder how the BAV would turn out... i have a feeling they'd be a tad too small for my taste :(

Jesse said it was an in Scale Quinjet.

I imagine it was just one of the little one passenger versions.

Nope. According to Jesse, it would have seated four regular sized MLs in the cockpit, and had a holding area in the back!

yeah
but the point is you can buy 2 icons for $40
or 10 legends for around $100
you decide

and i dont get the point of a BAV
why dont they just market vehicles for legends characters
quinn jet,blackbird,fantasticar,etc...

I really don't see them doing any BAFs in Icons....and if they do it wont be a half anfd half deal.

MS would be a cool way to get a FFF, but I don't ever see it happening. And if they did he'd be smaller than he should be. Ultimate Hulk and Thanos are huge, and Watcher is big also but I just don't see MS stretching out further to make an adequately sized FFF. If anything he'd be a inch bigger than those guys I mentioned and therefore would suck due to him being to damn small.

ya, but majority of us buy most to all of the legends in a series anyways... and very few of us have started buying icons
