it may have been the worst time for some of you but mine was good(i think). it was better then my life is now anyhow...

it was a time when girls were evil, school was for seeing your freinds, pokemon was the big craze, i was popular(to an extent), there was no such thing as jobs and there wasn't a social code of conduct to follow, you were allowed to blurt out random crap and it was cute or funny...

now...now girls leave you hoping, school nolonger exists, pokemon is a horrible memory, noone remembers me, jobs suck and you can;t burlt out waht your thinking during a meal with relatives you've not seen in over 12 and you have no idea who they are.

in short....growing up sucks...i want to be a kid again:(

I have a time traveling device that I could let you borrow for a short time.

It would only cost you $100,000,000

Everyone feels like that when they reach adulthood and feel somewhat lost. It's very normal to pine for the securities of childhood.

I miss it too, even if I am still in my late teens. I was so happy when I was younger. Now I have so many responsibilities, I don't like to play anymore, I get bored so easy and I am always sad because of my love life.

Hell,I miss being 5 years old. That was when kids were actually normal and I was so energetic and I could roll down hills without hurting the next day.

....Then my balls dropped. :csad:

I often wonder whether the Mark Twain "painting fences and skipping to the old waterin' hole" style of childhood actually existed. I certainly didn't have it. Is it just a romanticized ideal?

Not when Twain wrote it - but that was a hundred years ago.

Depends on where you grow up, I suppose. I grew up in a rural setting on a ranch up until high school. We always had chores to do (yes, including painting fences) and there was in fact a pond we'd go swimming at with the other kids in the area (we'd never skip to it, though, that's just inefficient and hard on the joints).

Well being a kid has its downsides to you know....
I can not wait to grow up.
Start a family starting to work.
Yeah you see your friends at school, but I also see them outside of school.
Yeah well girl what can I say they are great, but I am sure they will be when I grow up.
And well a job, you make money and you can do what you want.
I am popular at school, but that has it's downsides, people thinking you are arrogant, people wanna be you, they are folowing you, well ieuw I hate it, and I don't wanna be popular

growing up means having plenty of responsibilities...I see no pleasure in worrying about feeding your family. It's very hard to bring up your children and before that it's hard to find someone to spend the rest of your life with.

i'll be 19 next week and i miss my childhood terribly. shows you how much life sucks.

“Growing up is never easy. You hold on to things that were. You wonder what's to come. But that night, I think we knew it was time to let go of what had been, and look ahead to what would be. Other days. New days. Days to come. The thing is, we didn't have to hate each other for getting older. We just had to forgive ourselves... for growing up.”

Take care of yourselves, and each other.

Are you a school kid of some kind of fanatical religious cult leader?

I'm actually looking forward to old age. highschool was cool to an extent but you cant waste your time wishing you were in the past. i have great memories but i make better ones everyday..

I miss the innocence and freedom and ignorance of being a little wee tot.

Although my childhood was crappy i sorta missed it too.:( maybe that's why people are trying to cling on to it by buying toys, getting hitched later in life and not wanting to have any children.
